Mary Ann is very patient and has sold me so far (in the period of 1 year): a night stand, a beautiful Indian rug, an antique barrel, and I’m still coming back. She always gets new items to keep the store fresh and she is truly a pleasure to work with. Five stars.

Thanks, Urban Remix; I found the lamp I didn’t even know I was looking for! After both purchasing and consigning many items, I thought I was «done». Then the other day I walked in and spotted an unusually striking floor lamp. It’s a one-​of-​a-​kind piece that really spoke to me. I realized it would be perfect for a relatively dark corner of my apartment. It’s unusually tall, so although it is sitting in front of my window, the light part does not block my view. It is very modern and blends beautifully with both my mid-​century modern and art deco pieces.

This quiet little consignment/​vintage/​thrift shop is a surprising find in the South Loop.
It’s full of great pieces and if I had an unlimited budget and no one else living in my house I would’ve walked out with several things. There’s furniture, art, accessories, dishes, and more. Although some products weren’t priced clearly and some prices seemed a little high for used furniture, but the tags don’t tell a story, so I suppose you have to know what you’re looking at. You get to wander uninterrupted as the shop guy doesn’t seem to care if you’re there or to offer any help.

Mari Ann the owner is as cordial and professional as they come. I have purchased many items from her, and they complete my look every time. She has even sold some items for me. Always fun to stop in and see what is new. You can be assured there will be plenty. South Loop is on the move once again. So glad we have merchants like Urban Re-​Mix that have set up shop! Make a trip to So Lo you won’t come home empty handed I guarantee it.

I am very glad to know that this business is getting good stars. I purchased a beautiful glass table with six leather chairs and I am so happy. When you walk into this place it is like walking into a museum. The owner is kind and very compassionate about her business and selections.

This place is really fantastic. EC and I walked in after moving to the area with only a bed and a love seat, and we were taken right to examples of what we were looking for, including in the storage room. We found an awesome antique vanity table and a dining table with four chairs that had only been used in staging. We want to go back already and see what might be new in stock! The owner and everyone who works there was incredibly kind and very informative, even inviting us to the community party there the following weekend, since we’re new in town. Worth visiting regardless of whether you’re in the market for antiques!

— A great mix of affordable and impressive antiques, art, furniture, small and large pieces.
–Really clean, which many antique places can’t say.
–Negotiable, to an extent.
–Youngish looking people walking into an antique store can sometimes receive the side-​eye — we were treated with total respect and kindness.
–Dexter, the owner’s lab, is a wonderful addition to the ambiance and the staff.

My husband and I wandered in one holiday weekend and the inventory was low. We returned a few weeks later and were pleasantly surprised at all the furniture that was available. Someone who was staging a few condos unloaded their merchandise on Mary Ann and we were the beneficiaries! We purchased two chairs from crate and barrel, a small nightstand, and a long coffee table for around $ 600! The prices are less than half off retail and they only offer superior items in great condition. We even consigned the smaller coffee table that we replaced, which sold about a month later! The team helped us load our items and get our purchase home for super cheap, less than $ 20.00 (rent a uhaul from down the street). If they don’t have what you’re looking for, ask to be added to the wait-​list for it. Check back regularly for the best deals and give Mary Ann a hug for me.
I’ve since returned to Uran Re-​mix and purchased a tall dresser for extra storage in my closet. Support this small businesses!

Oh my goodness — this is a real find Urban Re-​Mix in the South Loop. It’s only been a open a few weeks. She has exquisite taste and her inventory is great and she’s always acquiring new things. I just bought a beautiful sleeper sofa that she was kind enough to put a hold sticker on until I could bring my husband in, even though, she had a another potential buyer interested.
Mary Ann is a true professional and knows her business. She has even agreed to rent out her space to us for a party. If you can get by and take a look please do.

Solid home furnishings on consignment (Buy or have the store sell your items). Great quality and unique items. Also, fantastic owners to deal with. Website is still in the works, but they are open everyday except for Monday.
