Don’t bother wasting your money, because if you go here that’s all you will be doing with your money. Bad customer service. They promise one thing and you get something completely different. I asked several times before dying my hair if what I wanted was doable if not so I can go for something different, he stated several times he knew what he was going and that I shouldn’t have any problems. It was a lie, I hate my hair and I will be sure to tell everyone I know NOT to go here.

I love this place! They can always get me in they are open 7 days a week. Victor is amazing his hair cuts are just amazing, giving my hair texture and an amazing color! He’s always on point with his opinion on going with the right color that suits well with my hair and skin tone. He’s a little pricey however, I do have long hair.

I went in and got my hair cut from Araceli, a hair dresser there, and loved my hair! She was so nice and was very into making my haircut work for ME. She asked a lot of questions of what I was looking for and also gave me suggestions on what might work better for me. I would definitely go back to her again :) The environment was chill and the price was not bad at all for the service that was given to me! I recommend my friends to come visit this place all the time I just love it!

I visited Victor Mauricio Salon(VMS) for the first time in June of 2011 for a haircut and had an awesome experience. I returned in April 2013 for a perm and a haircut and though the professionalism fell short from the first time, I am very happy with the way my hair turned out. Here’s a brief recap of my experienced pro’s and con’s: Pros: — The hair stylists took my input into consideration and made excellent suggestions that complimented my specific hair type and face. Matilde even pulled up pictures on her iphone to give me an idea of what my own hair would look like once she finished. — The salon was very welcoming of me calling or coming back for a quick demo lesson to style my new hair. Cons: –Prices of services aren’t necessarily fixed, so make sure you get the costs upfront. Victor Mauricio was charging me an amount that was higher than my initial estimate, but he quickly took care of this when I voiced the disparity in price and even gave me a free diffusor for the inconvenience. As for the prices, my husband said it best«Quality that fullfills your expectations is worth the cost.»

Not crazy about this place at all! I finally made an appointment during the week I arrived on time yet I waited for 45mins. I wasnt going to worry about that as long as my hair cut and color looked good. I picked a cut and color out of their book, showed to the lady and asked if she could do it. With a attitude she replies of course its in our book. So long story short ITWAS NoTHING LikE tHE PicTURE!!! The color was suppose be dark brown with red lowlights it ended up being Orange with pinkish blonde lowligh. Uhggggh I made them dye all my hair 1 color(brown). They still charged full price $ 130. Do not let the middle age Hispanic lady do your coloring. Bad experience

I like this place. I’ve gotten my hair cut here quite a few times… I’m considering adding them as a dependant on my taxes. I can only vouch for Victor as far as haircuts go because he’s the only one that’s touched my hair here and I always leave happy at the cut, frowning at the price. I know $ 35 is pretty standard considering the average for a woman’s cut and how picky I am but it still sets me back a bit more than I’d like. The neighborhood isn’t the greatest but I go well out of my way to come here so that must mean something. The building itself is stylin’. I went to the old location before and it’s doesn’t compare to the swag this place has. The workers are always nice and friendly so can’t complain there. The parking situation is hit or miss. They have the street metered parking but across the street you can’t park(even though they have a paybox) ’til after 6pm. I guess it’s to reduce congestion during rush hour but the orange line isn’t far so just take the train and the bus a few blocks and BAM, you’re there.

I tried this place out after a friend raved about how well they cut her hair. When I approached the salon, the windows were covered with black shades. The inside was very messy in terms of boxes everywhere. The stylist informed me they were relocating, so I ignored the mess. For the price they charged, I believe the quality of the haircut was average, because the morning after I washed my hair, I noticed the length of the hair were not well trimed. there were some strands which were longer on right side of my face and shorter on the left side. I did not notice this b/c he curled my hair during styling. but my stylist did do a great job blow drying and styling the hair. Overall, if you are not picky about the quality of the haircut and are willing to pay $ 30 + tip for it, then it’s decent.
