Absolutely hands-​down the worst medical professional I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. He is condescending, dismissive, rude and simply not a good doctor in any capacity. He does not listen to patients, and has a habit of being incredibly late. To put it plainly, this guy is a jerk.
He practically forced me to receive talk therapy from someone at his office. I told him we were not a good fit, I did not want to continue seeing her and I would find someone on my own. He said, «Well, if you’re not talking to someone here, you must not be depressed. So there’s no need for me to give you medication.» That was the last straw, I left his office and I’m never going back.
I implore anyone who is considering Dr. Uribe to TURN BACK NOW! He is not worth your time or money.

Dr. Uribe is one of the worst psychiatrists that I’ve ever experienced. He is one of the most condescending, unprofessional people I’ve met. He kept asking me about my previous medications and dosage. I struggled to remember and I told him I couldn’t recall. He then said to me,’ Are you certain?’ I then replied, ‘I’m certain that I am uncertain.’ Then I told him about some other medicine I took briefly. He then said,’ Oh you didn’t tell me about that.’ I replied to him by saying, ‘You didn’t ask.’ He then proceeded to ask me the dosage. I kept telling him that I didn’t recall because I had a bad reaction so I took it for a very brief time. He was unsatisfied and kept asking me anyway. I then got up and said,’ It’s over. Do you want to know why I am done?’ He kept talking and refused to listen. I then said that the way he talks to patients is unacceptable. He told me, ‘sit down.’ I told him that is why I would not return. JERK! Do NOT go to him even if you are desperate to find a psychiatrist. I tend to be quite level-​headed, but this guy was impossible to deal with and there is no way I am going to put up with someone treating me like I am an idiot and below them.

OK, I thought I’d been to a lot of bad psychiatrists but this guy takes the cake. Everything the previous reviewer said is spot on. This guy is VERY defensive, egotistic, insulting and condescending. The kicker is he makes you do talk therapy with him or his assistant and you have to have appointments every week or he will not prescribe for you. I stuck this one out for months and all I got was A LOT of bills and grief. Total setback.

I’m still angry so I don’t want to say too much.
He didn’t listen to me. He was defensive and confrontational. He made accusations. He told me to speak my mind and then would interrupt to defend himself when I hadn’t really even accused him of anything.
Why should anyone leave a psychiatrist feeling worse than when they walked in?
