Bite guard to everyone who walks in… did you get that cam to show you where you’re «grinding your teeth.» Some wear of the incisors is normal as we age, not pathological. Bite guards are analogous to that extended warranty on your cheap electric razor – little work for the store, high profit margin and 9⁄10 not needed.
Suggested onlays over fillings, and tried to convince me to change insurances for «better coverage» (translation, so you, the patient, can pay more out of pocket, and I, the dentist, can get more monetary compensation). The sad part, I’m a medical professional with many friends in dentistry. It was easy to uncover the motive$$$ behind the suggestions. Very charismatic individual, I can easily see how the layperson would be impressed. Seems a little shady if you ask me.
P. S. Previous poster stating «They take the discount dental card that I have but will not be in the future apparently.» kinda clues you into the fact that if you don’t have hard cold cash, you’re not welcome!

I was contacted by the owner to remove my posts, as I didn’t realized I had posted twice. The more recent one has been deleted.
I would definitely run by *any* of their suggested procedures by dental by your dentist friends/​family (if you have any).

AWESOME!
I read some reviews about Viren Patel and he got good reviews so I thought hey why not. They take the discount dental card that I have but will not be in the future apparently. I always like to go to the dentist and get out as quickly as possible.
I am a new patient got X-​rays, a cleaning and an exam in 40 minutes! Can’t beat that. The hygienist Monica was SO friendly and put me at ease. She was good at cleaning my teeth but gentle (as so many of the hygienists I’ve had in the past are not). Dr. Patel introduced himself and explained a concern I had about a filling in my molar from age 13.
Everyone was very nice and did a great job, the equipment was very up to date. I have been to about 5 dentists in Chicago over the past 12 years and so far they are tied for first place!
