Walgreens

Came to this Walgreens last night, looking for some Christmas decorations. I’ve seen this commercial for a decoration called «Star Shower» on TV for weeks. Heard Walgreens sells them so off I went with my son to get some so I can begin my Exterior Illumination. Was greeted when I walked in by the cashier saying the «Welcome to Walgreens» line. I like that!
Went to the Christmas decoration aisle and looked and looked and noticed they were OUT! Oh no! I told my son «I think they’re out of them buddy». The look on his face was so sad. He really wanted this! Suddenly a worker came walking down the aisle & asked me if I needed help with anything. Her name was Renee I believe. I explained to her that I was looking for Star Shower & didn’t see any. My son goes «we want to make our house light up all bright!» She said «oh no, I will go check in the back to see if there were any back there». In a few minutes she came back out carrying 2 boxes of them. My son’s eye’s lit up and he smiled very big. Renee goes «now your house will be the best one on the block»
My son was so happy! Just wanted to give a little credit to great customer service from Renee! Sometimes just having a pleasant personality & being friendly goes a long way! Thanks to Renee for her help! We went home last night & set it up. Renee was right, we do have the best house on the block! Merry Christmas!!!

Horrible service
1) after the Dominick’s on Pratt and McCormick closed I needed a new pharmacy this is the closest pharmacy to my house other than that one so I went here to fill my prescription they told me they would call me when it’s ready they called me a few days later and they informed me that it was ready and when I went to pick it up they told me that they restocked the item and it won’t be ready for a few hours Walgreens wasted my time I will be taking my business to the cvs on Devon ave
2)The line inside is very long if you’re only going there for the pharmacy use the drive-​through window it’s faster.

Worst customer service ever! First we ask a staff in the photo department where to get the walgreens card and she just gave us «are you stupid» look and said it’s in the cashier. So we went on and bought items that were on sale if you have the members rewards card. When we were checking out, we asked the cashier if we could get the walgreens card since we already had a member rewards account done online, she took our number and said the system is not letting her and said we ask for it next time we come to walgreens. So we said it’s fine. I gave her our coupons and I even said it to her clearly about the coupons but she was either too preoccupied with the computer or her mind was elsewhere coz she just took it and placed it on a stack of papers. She just checked us out right away and I had to remind her again. As we were leaving the store, I checked the receipt coz it seems higher than the price I expected to pay considering the items were on sale. And there it is, we payed everything in full price even though the cashier asked our number earlier. So we had to go back to the store, asked another staff about the price issue, she was able to refund some of the money back and when we asked her about the walgreens card, she just gave us one and was able to connect it with our account. Good thing coz I was already pissed off with the two staff we encountered earlier. It was our first visit here coz we thought it would be great coz the store was bigger but the service was terrible! Cmon Walgreens you can do better, just train MORE ABLE STAFF!

WORST PHARMACY DEPARTMENT !!! Not only will you wait over an hour for your prescription if you bring it in and want to wait for it, the automated refill phone call tells you your prescription is ready and when you get there (after waiting at least 10 minutes in line to get up to the one cashier) they have in the pharmacy department, they tell you oh it will be a few more minutes, it’s not quite ready. Why do they call and tell you it’s ready?
I called corporate once about the terrible service in the drive thru, about a year ago, and got an angry message from the pharmacist telling me if I had a problem I should talk to him and NOT CALL CORPORATE! I made the mistake of going back there only for the convenience, and once again after getting a call that my prescriptions were ready to be picked up, they told me they didn’t have all of my medication so I told they to call another Walgreens that was close by and transfer that prescription because i couldn’t wait another day or 2 til they got it in and low and behold, the pharmacist found some and it was going to be another half hour until they could fill it. I am so done with this Walgreens!!!

Huge shout out to the staff here for helping me with a photo printing issue. Ordered several calendars for Christmas gifts and their binding machine broke. They called me and we worked out a deal: they would print them all and arrange for me to go to another store (Howard and Western) to get them bound.
Worked out perfectly. Got them in time for the holidays and the recipients loved them!

Walgreens. It and out. Has everything you need! Fully stocked!

This is the crème de la crème of Walgreens. It’s huge, open 24 hrs, 365 days a year. Huge selection of toiletries and travel supplies. One hour photo. Friendly pharmacists and staff. It’s usually my pit stop before heading to the airport and I love it.

Best thing its 24 – 7 along with the pharmacy. However this location doesn’t sell alcohol. Two Redbox sits outside. Store is usually clean. Lines can be short and long times. The store isn’t even 10 years yet and it’s still looks like new.

The shelves are stocked at all hours of the night, which is helpful when you come down with a cold and don’t feel like interacting with the employees. The floors are nicely waxed which makes walking delicious. Also good for people watching as its behind a redbox and in front of a sleazy nightclub
