Like any typical AYCE sushi joint. Sushi and service is meh… you get what you pay for. Can’t complain.

Literally my favorite place in the city for sushi… especially all you can eat! I’ve been here about 4 times and each time have had a fantastic experience. Only once did I have to wait for a table, it was on a Friday at about 8pm. Otherwise I’ve been here on Saturdays at 6 or 7 and always got a table right away. First off… all you can eat for $ 20-$ 22 per person. Can’t get any better than that! Whenever I’ve gone myself and the group have always stuck to the rolls and nigiri, we’ve never ordered apps. You get plenty for the price and the selection is absolutely phenomenal. Some of the specialty maki would cost $ 12-$ 16 per roll at any other sushi place. But here you get all-you-can-eat for $ 22! Of course watch out for ordering too much! You’ll have to fork out $ 1PERPIECE extra that’s left on the plates, and no taking any food home. That’s how places like this make their money. BUT, if you go slow and order a couple rolls at a time, you’ll be fine. The service has always been excellent and timely. I can see how it can take a while on very busy nights but other than that I absolutely LOVE Wasabi Café!

My favorite sushi place! I go here almost everyone month with my mom. I have tried different sushi places but none seem to be as delicious as this place. Plus they have great lunch specials!!!

Being a regular here I was so excited to host my birthday dinner here. A group of 12 of my friends came yesterday to join me for my dinner. The dinner was great! Two of my friends brought a bottle of wine for them two. Once we received the bill we will charged for a corkage fee for the entire table. One of guests was not even 21 so i was upset that they did not have it written anywhere. Also on the bill we were charged a 18% gratituity, which is understandable. We were also charged tax on the gratituity which i did not understand. After addressing the issue to the waitress she made pointless arguments about how they were not charging us tax. We had to do the math by hand and seen that we were each being charged $ 10 more than were were supposed to. It was very upsetting and how they tried to scam us. I am very disappointed and embarassed because this was a spot i loved.

This honestly has to be one of the worst costumer service experience I’ve ever had. I arrived with some friends here for dinner and I ordered something other than sushi. I wanted to try other options on the menu. My husband got there before me so I asked him to order my food as well. We then ordered appetizers to start the night. My husband and I shared the same plate for appetizers and I wanted to pick at his plate until my food arrived. 10 minutes into the appetizers one of the waiters with very short hair and glasses came over to lecture me how I can not touch any one else’s plate(my husbands plate). That she is staring from the camera and and that I didn’t order anything so I can’t touch anyone else’s plate. The whole time she was point fingers and being extremely rude. She then left by saying that she will continue to look at me in the camera in case I touch anyone plate again. 2 min after that lecture my food came after she walked away. At that point I pretty much lost my appetite and was more shocked about their customer service. The 18% tip is automatically added at the end as well. Over all just bad customer service.

Far better than any other all you can eat in the city!!! The rolls actually have more fish than rice and taste great. I’ve tried nearly all of the specialty rolls and never had something I hated. My favorite roll by far is the Snow Fuji. As for appetizers, the seaweed salad, edamame, veggie tempura, and miso soup are great to order between rounds. Not a big fan of the gyoza. The ginger chicken is also great, it’s superrrrrr crispy and sticky. I recommend ordering it last so that you don’t get full off if it and have to pay for leftover sushi. Tip: go with a large group with a large appetite– then you can order whatever you want without worrying about not liking it and being forced to finish it

Finally! Another unlimited sushi place I can hop on to. Moving to Roscoe Village, I was looking for a local place where I can get my sushi fix and this place might exactly be that. I’d say I’d have to highlight the variety in unlimited sushi rolls and appetizers they have available. Each time I visited, I tried something new. I also love the idea of the«push button for server.» Anytime you’d like help, you can call a waiter using the button. However last time I visited, I pushed the button a few times and no one came to our table within 10min. The only downside of that experience. But they also have a pretty chill atmosphere which is positive!

Given this discount, be aware that even though you have paid cash worth $ 17.95, and $ 19.95 for credit card — your 18% gratuity is being charged based on your $ 19.95/head Bill and not based on $ 19.95. Per owner, he wants his server to go to their server. On the other side, food is okay… don’t order the ginger chicken it’s all flour and hard to bite.

We visited on a Saturday night with a group of 4. We were seated and served quickly. It’s byob which is wonderful. The sushi was fresh and full of flavor. We ordered over 12 different rolls. A few were really good but the rest were just average. It was a great spot!

Quick, easy to order and cheapest sushi in the city. Not a lot of crab choices but that’s my favorite. Other wise 20 $ all u can eat is in beatable right”

People are ridiculously picky on here. «The quality is not fresh.» One… we live in the midwest. Do you want them to have a tank in the back to catch the«fresh» fish with? «The chopsticks aren’t seperated.» … are you fucking kidding me? Lazyass. For an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet it is pretty decent. Rolls came out timely and tasted yummy. BYOB and they give you glasses and a bucket of ice. I like their system of ordering as well, can order as many as you want, instead of just 2 at a time. Only bad thing is their cash/credit rule. costs $ 2 more to pay with card. I would recommend for yummy rolls and good service.

I’m taking 1 star away because they lost our reservation(there were 12 of us, and it was a birthday). Oddly enough, there were 2 empty tables big enough for a party of 12, but we still waited an hour. The food was delicious, and the all-you-can eat was a great value… and they did bring us mochi at the end to apologize for the reservation. I would totally go back, but I will triple check my reservation next time!

I LOVE this place! So I came here because I was looking to go to House of Sushi and Noodles, but was disappointed to find that it had closed its doors. But my disappointed was short lived when I saw that they had merged with Wasabi café! The ambiance is very nice, the lighting is tastely dim with traditional Asian décor. I got the all you can eat deal for around $ 20! That includes apps and drinks as well! And everything is made to order so its fresh! The food was so good I was mad I got full because I had to stop eating lol. And they make high quality rolls that aren’t over stuffed with rice either. If you want go sushi and tasty apps you HAVE to try this spot!

My friend took me here because he was really craving ayce sushi, I am not a huge fan of ayce sushi because usually the sushi is covered in nasty sauces or it is full of rice and not enough fish. We came in on a Thursday night and they were packed, every table was full but we managed to get a seat right away. They gave us the ayce menu right away to order. Weekday nights cash price $ 19. Wasabi sushi is not covered in sauces or full of rice but the rolls are absolutely tasteless. The fish tastes like nothing, just a bland piece of flesh. I have never had such tasteless sushi in my entire life. I am it a huge fan of sushi in general because feel like the majority of fish isn’t very fresh, especially ayce places. We ordered 4 rolls, and tried 5 of their nigiri, I left feeling full but not satisfied. The only roll I enjoyed was the dynamite roll because it had some jalapeño it was slightly spicy. The rest of the rolls were tastes, and he worse were the nigiri. The fish tasted like nothing, the rice wasn’t flavored right as well. It was bland and did not have enough rice wine vinegar at all . I will never come here ever again. Service was nice enough but if a date ever took me here, I’d feel so embarrassed.

Décor/cleanliness/environment: the restaurant is clean and very very spacious compared to the rest of ayce sushi places(1⁄1) Service: it’s BYOB!!! They give you wine glasses and any cups right away once they see the liquor or wine you bring to the restaurant. But they tend to be slower serving the sushi but not that a big deal to me(1⁄1) Food: sushi quality was ok comparing to other ayce sushi places in Chicago and they gave way too much rice when u order nigri so I was really disappointed(0⁄2) Cost: $ 2 discount if pay cash. Cheap for ayce sushi… For group of 6, I only paid $ 22 for myself, and that’s already included 18% gratuity. So it’s really cheap, but that’s why sushi is cheap quality. :((1/1)

Good for basic sushi, nothing to special about it. The service is a little slow and the prices seems to always go up. They merged with the House of noodles and sushi recently and I don’t think they keep any of the good old chefs.

We went here for a birthday dinner. It’s great for groups because it is all you can eat and byob. The service was very good and polite. The sushi was just so so. Kind of all tasted the same. I’ve had better sushi and so the only reason I would come here again is because it was fun for a party and great for byob

For an all you can eat sushi place this is by far my favorite. It’s Byob, it’s $ 20, fresh and really hits the spot. However go in with patience. The AYCE menu is surprisingly large. Not only does it have maki rolls, but also some appetizer items, drinks, AND nigiri. Please somebody point out an all you can eat sushi place that does nigiri or sashimi for $ 20. The ingredients all are great and I always leave soooo full. Also the Byob is fantastic not only do you get affordable sushi but you can bring your own sake and not end up with a $ 50 bill per person. The service isn’t bad, everyone is nice and smiling. However this place gets busy and you also don’t have your own server. You get a little buzzer so you buzz and someone comes over. I love this idea mor places need it. But twice now we have been there and our order gets lost and it takes like 25 minutes to get one of our rolls. All in all I love this place and plan on going back regularly. Just keep in mind there are the classic rules and regulations of many all you can eat places. So only order what you can eat!!!

Here again… Service is super slow but friendly. Just as I write that our server came with our food — fast!(Even though it was crowded today) Recommendations: Dragon rolls for that slightly sweet, spicey, crunchy kick. Mexico maki with tuna and jalapeño. Great palette refresher. Rainbow roll for those who like different sashimi all rolled around rice. Seaweed salad — love it! I don’t like mayo in my rolls so I can’t comment on those. Almost half the rolls have mayo in them. My go to place for decent, cheap, and plentiful sushi.

This is new Sushi and Noodles restaurant which closed down about a block away. Same AYCE sushi options. Same everything. The only difference is that the interior is a lot better, more open and has multiple tv’s. The old Sushi and Noodles location was really cramped and dark and if the restaurant was full, people would have to wait outside in the cold. I definitely like the new place better as it is a lot more open and has a larger sitting area. That being said, the service has gotten worse here. The food is still good but the service is not up to par. I actually think the sushi sizes are a little smaller. However, they still don’t overload the rice so you don’t end up filling up on it.

Ehh this place is okay. My family wanted ayce sushi and heard great things about this place. We came yesterday on Easter Sunday and they were open. Lots of street parking outside — probably because every place else was closed. If you pay in cash you get 5% discount off the bill. There were 8 of us and we got seated right when we arrived. If you want service, they have this button on the table to get the waitress to come. I read from previous reviews how service is terrible, but it seems okay after you hit the button. If you don’t call for help they won’t come. This place has a policy that if you leave one piece of sushi behind it’s $ 1 each. You can order appetizers and nigiri/maki rolls. Drinks are also included with the price. It’s $ 21/pp on weekends, and $ 19/pp on weekdays(M-Thurs). Appetizer: We had several orders of the seaweed salad which was good. The ginger chicken taste like orange chicken. Miso soup was okay. The veggie and beef gyoza were okay, too. My husband said it mightve been the best food for him at Wasabi. Edamame could be better. Entrée: We ordered many different rolls. They’re decent considering it’s ayce buffet. My husband and I generally don’t have high expectations for buffet style sushi but it wasn’t as bad as we thought. My mom really like their dragon and caterpillar roll. Overall, not a bad place.
