Imagine a 50m pool in the sun, almost empty on this Labor Day weekend, clean, cool water, with nice staff, clean locker rooms, and absolutely FREE! I just remembered Washington Pool and got on my bike to go for a 1000m swim there. The pool is open from May until September. I wish I’d thought of going earlier — tomorrow is the last day that it will be open. Go during ‘Adult Swim’ times as opposed to ‘Teen Swim’ times if you want to do laps… Five stars for the Chicago Park District… for providing some of the only free and good things in this city…
