Free… that’s the magic number. Yes indeed.
Open to the public and first come first serve for these two bocce courts. Even if you don’t have your own set across the street at The Boundary they’ll let your borrow a set for yep, you guessed it… FREE!!!
It’s the perfect activity if you’re broke as a joke, is super easy to learn, and awesome to do while drinking booze. Definitely a hidden gem in this hood.
The guys that maintain it also do portable rentals for corporate events and all sorts of other things that are great for groups. Give it a go next time you’re up in the air and want to save some dough and I’m sure you’ll be hooked on this great beer game.

Great to see a group of people who are dedicated to bettering Chicago and having such a fun time doing it. From cleaning up abandoned lots to organizing leagues, WPBC is giving people a chance to enjoy their neighborhood and build community.
The Wicker Park courts are well maintained and rarely crowded. The exception is during league play, which usually draws a good number of both players and spectators and is worth checking out!
