After wading through a grueling 2−½ hour security line at O’Hare, missing our original flight because of that line, and not having had coffee that morning, this spot appeared like a beautiful beacon of hope. My co-worker and I bee-lined to a table and asked for coffee right away. Two gigantic omelettes followed with crispy potatoes. Having not had a decent, hot meal in the 18 hours we had been traveling at that point, the food was incredible. The service is fast to cater to those who are trying to catch flights. I gave it 3 stars because obviously as it is an airport the prices are ridiculous. Also they leave a big bottle of water on your table with a tiny sign that says it’s for purchase. So if you opened it accidentally, you would have to pay for it.

I recently ate at the Wolfgang Puck Café before catching a flight at O’Hare. The restaurant caught our eye right after exiting the security check point in terminal 3. WPC offers both sit down dining and sandwiches/salads to go. We had an hour to kill before boarding, so we opted for the sit down. In and out, the whole experience was probably 45 minutes to an hour. The biggest issue was the service. They were not attentive and didn’t totally seem interested in serving guests. They were slow with almost everything, especially drink refills. I ordered the turkey club which was pretty good. For an extra dollar I added fries, delicious. The only issue with the meal was that they used the nub of the bread for my sandwich(the nub being the piece of bread on the end of a loaf covered in crust). The chef even had to know it was mean to do because they tried hiding it, having the nub on the bottom on the sandwich facing in. The food was good, but the lack of service was frustrating. There are other comparable places in the terminal that I would check out before dining here again.

Ok. This is all bad. I’ll make a list first. 1. There were two pieces of something in my water. 2. My drink(pomegranate mojito) tasted like straight liquor. 3. The waiter took 10 minutes to come back to my table. 4. My salmon just fell apart(too flakey) so it was difficult to eat, and the broccolini was lukewarm. Eww. 5. 10 minutes later my new drink came and it was(strawberry lemonade alcoholic drink) was straight strawberry cornsyrup. I saw the bartender fumble remaking it twice. Lawd. I took two bites of my dinner and stopped. Drank a little of the new drink. I’m never coming back. Epic fail.

This is a decent sit-down place if you’re in O’Hare. Servers are pleasant although this is not a polished experience(paper table clothes are usually a bad sign). Think of this as a half step from Chilis but a full step up in terms of healthfulness. They have decent salads and the salmon and burgers looked good. Bread is weak and some of the ambiance is a bit off. For instance I was next to a door where they were wheeling in and out all sorts of kitchen supplies.

The Good: Honestly not a thing. I guess seats were open so I didn’t have to wait so there’s that. The Bad: Quality of food, service, overall experience. Let’s just call this place Wolfgang Sucks. Ordered a burger, took forever, wasn’t that busy and people who ordered after me got their food quicker. Overcooked by long shot, didn’t have time to send back or I would have. Burger was bland and tasteless. The response to all my questions regarding the food was«this is an airport, we don’t have that», am example was me asking for jalapeños and pickles or anything other than cheddar cheese. When the food finally came, somehow the pickles that didn’t exist were on the plate. As a frequent traveler and airport dweller, go pretty much anywhere else, waste of time and money.

If you’re going to put meatloaf on your menu, take the time to make it right. I feel like it was made weeks ago and frozen. Then defrosted in the microwave and heated on a skillet when I placed the order.

Airport Wolfgang’s. That should be all I need to say to justify the stars. But since I know someone will challenge me on my review, I will say that the waitress was overwhelmed with three tables. Coffee was almost impossible to get refilled. The bacon… oh the bacon. Seriously people, don’t feed me cold hard bacon and expect anything but negativity. Because it’s bacon, and the best breakfast meat cannot be dishonored with the vile crap you served me. That being said, the eggs were to order and how I like them. The potatoes, forget about it– avoid them as they are giant chucks of potatoes fried and really gross at breakfast. So to sum it up, yuk yuk yuk

Ordered a basic margarita pizza and beer. Would have preferred a hotdog stand but one wasn’t nearby. It was fine and tasty. Basic customer service, but what do you expect for an airport restaurant?

I was drawn in by the wonderful smells from the kitchen and ordered a burger from Cynthia. She was gracious and very helpful. The burger was delicious and Cynthia even brought me the water(that is actually self serve) with a smile. I will definitely make time to stop by this spot when I fly to OHare! Thank you Cynthia– you brighten people’s days!

I had the mushroom and goat cheese personal pizza. It was nothing short of delicious. The crust is a little greasy for my tastes but the pizza managed to be light and flavorful. The service staff could use some tightening up in their presentation. A lot of them looked sloppy. Besides that my waitress was attentive and friendly. She brought my pizza straight from the fire brick oven piping hot. All around a good stop for airport dining.

I got a table quickly, and while my server was a little inattentive and slow, the food was cooked quickly, it came out piping hot and it was delicious. I had the pepperoni pomodoro pizza and it was lovely. A little spicy, but tasty, and a little greasy/soggy in the middle. I also asked for a side of their garlic aioli to dip my crust — yum! The menu looked pretty extensive and prices were great for airport food.

4 stars for an airport restaurant? Ya see, after a week of fried foods, beef & potatoes, I was missing my California fare and Wolfgang Puck Café provided. We needed a bite before our flight. Although it was the dinner hour on New Years Eve Eve, our party of 4 were seated right away. First, started with a glass(then another) of Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay. Overpriced, but much needed. Then I had the Multigrain Club w/Mixed Greens. So happy to have GREENS. Plus, my multigrain was toasted just right, bacon crispy & avocados(I’d been missing them). Hubby had a couple of bites and enjoyed it. Plus, tried bites of my husband’s soup & meatballs and they were good. Server was great about keeping the plates moving to ensure we made our flight and we left satiated. *Open seating in airports make for the best people watching!

First the good stuff! The butternut squash soup was very tasty and making payment was efficient. Not so good-my ice water glass had lipstick on it. I don’t wear lipstick. Gross. Yuck– under cooked french fries are also pretty gross. There was nothing about the service that would make me want to go back but I did tip well because he was working a holiday.

Had a layover here with my boyfriend on Christmas so we thought we’d sit down and have a nice lunch before we caught our next flight. Our server was nice, but very slow. We ordered the calamari appetizer, which was actually delicious, but it look over 15 minutes to get to the table. We didn’t even order our entrees until we got the appetizer. Waters stayed empty. My chicken meatball sandwich came out dry and cold. Very disappointing. My boyfriend got the wrong side with his burger. Never going back. Not worth the price.

This is my «go to» spot for breakfast in terminal 3. Short menu but the American breakfast is very good. Eggs cooked perfectly and tasty bacon. Be sure to order it well done if you want it crisp. They tend to cook the bacon on the lighter side here. Not quite English bacon but you get the idea. Good grapefruit juice as well. Of the limited options available in this terminal for breakfast this is the best one.

On the breakfast menu displayed at the entrance and on the table menu, they have an egg white mushroom omelette. On two different visits(months apart), I ordered the same egg white omelette and was told that they«don’t have egg whites.» This means one of two things: 1. There are no real eggs on the premises and they are powdered, pre-mixed, or something else. 2. They’re lying. How can you not have egg whites if you have a real egg? Separate the yolk from the white. Boom. Egg whites. Cooking 101. Come on, Wolfgang!

So I am a big fan of the Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill in Vegas and I thought this would be just as great but it was just okay. It’s not great but it’s not horrible. This actually is one of the better dining experiences I’ve had at an airport but the food was not spectacular. My sister and I shared the crispy calamari, chicken alfredo and the fennel sausage pizza. The calamari pieces are a little on the bigger side. I like strips thin. And the breading was a little off for me, it was too thick. Also, it was weird with the pepperoncinis. The pizza was pretty basic. A little more thick crust than I’d like. Not as oily as other pizzas though. My fave was the chicken alfredo. I loved the sauce and the pasta. My sister and I devoured it. One big thing that irked me my dirty wine glass. I ordered a glass of wine and it still had some residue on it. You’re suppose to be upscale… clean your glasses! Other than that and mediocre, kinda over priced food, I would recommend this place if you’re ever at O’Hare.

Holy cow… Be prepared to wait a century for your overly priced food at this o’hare stop. Be sure you’re in the right line for a pizza, salad or sandwich since there’s one for each and get ready to shell out $ 12 for any one of those items. Think your sandwich will be on artisan bread? Think again… It comes on sliced whole grain loaf bread. Very underwhelming.

This is a cool spot to take a breather while waiting for your flight. I love the clean décor: crisp white tablecloths with a sheet of white paper on top. For a second, you forget you’re traveling. Food is not bad, I enjoyed my burger and salad, but I would be equally satisfied eating a burger for half the price at Five Guys. However, I give an extra star for it’s strategic location in an airport terminal where the food options are quite limited.

O’Hare has a depressing selection of restaurants and bars in this terminal, making Wolfgang Puck one of your better choices. Although it’s still at heart an airport bar, I did find my margherita pizza very tasty and would order it again. Colleagues had salads that they seemed to like quite fine. The wines by the glass offered enough variety for me to find one I wanted that didn’t break the(corporate credit card) bank. Overall, no complaints, which in an airport is quite the compliment.

Had enough time on a layover to try this place and I am so glad I did! I was passing by and saw that they had a Margherita Pizza on the menu which is my favorite type of pizza to get. This was the second best Margherita Pizza I have ever had. It had roasted tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil and cooked to perfection in a stone oven. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Chicago with another layover and maybe try something new.

In the words of my wife, «Good, not great. But not horrible either.» So let’s check out what I liked first. The food was good, much better than 95% of the stuff you’ll find in the airport. Not surprising though, if you put Wolfgang Puck’s name on a restaurant you better be ready to deliver. I had the Mac ‘n Cheese and my wife had the Pepperoni Pizza. We shared each entrée so I think I had enough to comment on both. The Mac ‘n Cheese was pretty solid. They bake it and had bread crumbs on top. Very cheesy and cooked pretty darn well. Maybe left in the oven a LITTLE bit longer than they should but I wasn’t disappointed. The Pepperoni Pizza was a decent dish. Again, I’m basing a lot of this on the fact that we’re in an airport so i’m not expecting to be blown away. However, if you’re gonna call it Wolfgang you better do a good job. That being said the pizza was good and we ate it all up. Now to the negatives. As with many reviews here, the service is EXACTLY what you expect from an airport. It just doesn’t fit. You have a Wolfgang Puck café and good food with a solid menu and stellar drink options and then throw in mediocre service? It wasn’t just the person who was waiting us either, you can tell from looking around and getting the atmosphere of the place. They need to step up the service if they want to see 4 or 5 stars.

Just travel through ORD few times. I always wanted to try this«famous chefs» . They have this veggie burger with quinoa, white bean, goat cheese and some fancy stuff on top. The burger as it is was very good. I would have added one more star if it was roasted a little bit more. The French fries– hmm it was thin(which I like) but might have been tastier if it was fresher and hotter. Over all it’s a decent step up from the fast food. But not worth 15 bucks. I might go back request for more roasted and fresher fries. Haha

Not my type of place. Unless I’m stuck at the Chicago airport on a 3-hour layover. Since I just became a vegan today — I have suffered the oppressive dining options of America for over 12 hours. It was a breath of fresh air to finally find a place that understands«dairy-free» and«no mayo». Our waiter– Plamen — was great even though we were a large obnoxious party.

Giving this place 4 stars based on airport expectations. Real food. Super delicious! Felt like I was eating like a grown up. Not some kid on the run. The burgers were amazing!!! Served on pretzel rolls, they are hearty and juicy. As served from the menu, it’s like a Cesar salad on a burger with cheddar. Oh heaven. I had the salmon salad. Health. The salmon was a little drier — but that’s a personal preference. Try the garlic fries. Yeah — even though o had the salad I cheated and stole some of those fries. The service was adequate. Not bad. Not outstanding. If you want a real meal, this is the place.

Came here while waiting for our flight in the morning. Superb breakfast food. I ordered the meat and cheese omelette. It was delicious, and so were the parmesan potatoes that accompany it. Although I did not try it, my friend seemed to really enjoy his breakfast pizza. Service was quick and staff was courteous.

Terrible service, average food, high prices. There’s not much more to say. I am terribly disappointed with Wolfgang Puck Café. Clinging on the name of a brand that was once a guarantee of fine dining, this place is now the equivalent of a tourist trap.
