Wow, what a swanky luxurious place. I loved having a chance to see inside this venerable club. I am obviously not a member but I know a wonderful lady who is. She had a working luncheon here for a writing group. We had a delicious salad with mouth watering rolls. To finish it off there were cookies and coffee. I had to try several purely for research for this review. Yes, they were out of this world. The ladies room was elegant, the elevator operators a nostalgic look at the past and the wi fi strong. A great combination! If you ever get an invitation to cross the threshold. If you ever join, invite me!

Really high end women’s club, A bit on the pretentious side, but the food is really classy and scrumptious.

I love these little clubs all over the city, and their unique history. My aunt was a member of this club when she lived across the street from it and down the block a little. This was where my mom learned to dance like a proper lady, and to identify which utensil was appropriate for the occasion during a meal. I was invited to a tea and lunch by a friend, and I was a little nervous, not being a woman and entering the Woman’s Athletic Club. I have a reciprocal membership here, but was afraid to set foot in here alone. Tea was good, as far as tea can get, I suppose. I think there is a formality and ceremony that I overlooked, but I’ve attended Japanese tea sessions, which can’t really be that different. But, check this place out, elegant without being pretentious, and I started to feel relaxed even before I dropped my salad fork, or was that the dinner fork that fell?
