Franks Red Hot and Sweet Baby Rays is the tang-z-q sauce and the beer prices are ridiculous. The 90’s suburban bar with no atmosphere and horrible managment are just the start of why this place is such a joke. If the shitty patio furniture doesn’t keep you away the fact that it is always empty should. With a location like that there is a reason the place has very few repeat customers. Nepotism rearing it’s ugly head is on full display as well the owners daughter is a nightmare. If you want frozen apps and stale fries that take hours to come out enjoy.

Beer selection is not bad. Prices are high for beer. Wings are just ok. Some are pretty small and a couple had weird bones like they had been cut poorly. Service was good.

This bar double taxes. They are one of the few bars that does not include taxes on each drink or beer. I would recommend going next door or to any of the other 100 bars in the area.

Went there to watch the Cubs game. My wife ordered a bacon cheese burger which tasted very good. I ordered a chicken sandwich with the tanzq sauce. The chicken was good sized and the sauce was very tasty. The fries were good as well. Our server Joelle was outstanding. Our food came out quickly. We ordered many beers and the place was packed with people, but she was always quick with our orders and very friendly.

The nachos were terrible. The wings were dry and had no flavor. The weinsthephaner I ordered tasted extremely bitter, which is probably due to the taps not getting flushed. The service was great, but everything about the food/drinks was terrible.

Food was fine I’ll even say that it was good! The place really falls with its service. The waitress we had took 40 minutes to get us water… WATER. Customer service is everything and she blew it.

Wings are just so-so. Also did not honor the 25% Unilocal Check-In discount offer. Place rocks on Cubs opening day when XRT broadcasts live from there but other than that there’s not much reason to visit.

DONOTSTEPFOOTINTHISPLACE! Been in Chicago for years and worst experience ever at any business. Stopped in with OOT guests(mostly adults and several teens) before Cubs game. At first we were welcomed and served drinks and eventually food as we waited for rain to stop and head to the game. Got announcement that Cubs postponed so continued to order things up as waited for car back service to burbs. Out if the blue, a bouncer approaches a 13 year old in our group and told him he had to leave due to ‘police rule for yesterday only that all minors must be out of restaurants/bars by 7.‘ Needless to say one of the moms stepped in to ask what was going on, teen was pretty intimidated by bouncer. Bouncer was abrupt and things got nasty. When told them we just needed to hang out until car arrived, some guy shows up and says if we don’t leave the cops will be called. In the process this guy gets belligerent with our 80 yo grandma. All the while they are shooing us out the door into a driving rain. Irony was that a family with a child about 10 came out an hour later while we were still waiting outside for a ride. Apparently rule was not applied consistently, we eventually figured out why. What we later realized was that the table we were sitting was filled after we left by friends of the table next to us and apparently friends with our waitress. Sorry we paid the bill and gave her a tip. So in the end we spent $ 300, got treated like shit, had marginal food/beverages and put out in rain so some regulars could watch the Hawks final game and party with wait staff. Strange they never told us about any rules when we arrived to an empty bar and ordered up 300 bill. AVOIDTHISPLACEIFYOUDON’T WANTTOGETRIPPEDANDHAVEYOURPATIENCEANDDIGNITYCHALLENGED.

It’s only a good bar /restaurant if your a cubs fan visiting from Naperville. The place is dead in the winter, because the service sucks and over priced bland food. But they make up for it with drunk out of towners visiting wrigleyville. Location, Location, Location

Stopped in here on opening day. WOW! Saw Len Casper play the bass guitar, saw one of my favorites: Old 97’s front man Rhett Miller, but I was able to watch the Bulls game during the show. Great spot. Beer was a little pricey but the atmosphere was worth it.

Good atmosphere, good staff, kinda of reasonably priced for wrigleyville. Bartenders are quick with your order.

Good food with great guys(in town for a bach party). Christen made our experience even better(5 stars for her). She is an amazing server who can handle all quirky requests on spot. Yak-zies is always a quick fix for hanging out in Chicago.

Be careful ordering a drink in here. The drink prices are NOT on the menu, and they will rob you blind. I could understand paying $ 8.50 for a BEER in River North or the Loop, but not in this dive that no one ever goes in to. On football Sundays and after Cubs games I have only seen two other parties besides the one I am with in here… Perhaps it’s because I am the last person to realize how absurdly expensive this place is. You have to keep up with the neighboring competition by doing something different, not by simply charging the highest prices on the block. I would highly recommend Murphy’s Bleachers, or Dark Horse further down Sheffield instead of this place. At least they have their prices on the menus.

Walked in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch… the place was completely empty(as in ZERO customers)…we asked the guy sitting at the bar(we’re assuming he was the owner/manager) if they were open. His response was«didn’t you read the sign… the one you literally had to walk over to come in?» Great way to greet your customers! That was all we needed to see/hear. We left and went to a REAL establishment next door(Rockit Burger Bar), where the service was nice and super friendly… and the food was good. Needless to say, we won’t be going back! I’m not going to spend my money in a place where the manager acts like a punk. Shoulda Unilocaled it first!

So not impressed. I’ll start there. We walked in here on a Saturday night — completely empty. Big red flag. But we had out of towners and wanted to be able to talk. So… we gave it a shot. I’ll skip the boring stuff — slow service at the beginning, blah, blah blah. I ordered a burger. Asked for no pickles or onions(my standard thing to say, waitress wrote it down). Later, the burger came and had raw onions. Told the waitress, she then explained to me that as how the burger didn’t come with pickles, they kept the cucumbers AND onions, but I didn’t have to eat them if I didn’t want to. None of us understood her logic, or the fact she didn’t even care. Basically, LAST time I go here.

Popped into Yak-Zies on Saturday afternoon for lunch with my parents and we had a great meal on their patio. I had the pulled pork sandwich and a side salad, my Dad had a cheeseburger and fries, and my Mom went with the Coney and pasta salad. Everyone was really satisfied with their meals and the portions were more than generous. Service was also pretty good, but there were only a couple other parties there so not really a fair situation to judge off of. Either way Yak-Zies is a great spot on Clark St with good bar food.

Was warned not to go to this place but went anyway. Won’t do that again ! Manager, who I was told is the owners daughter should be fired and disowned, because she does not have the business’ best interest at heart. Expensive beer that was stale at best, made me want to Yak !

Been there multiple times, but finally writing a simple review. Place has a great location across from the park, but is nothing special. Cocktails come in plastic cups and their wings, which are their bread and butter, are just so-so. It’s conveinent if you are hitting a game and need to pre-game, but that is it. Go south on Clark for nicer places.

We stopped in with all intentions of watching the Blackhawks game with other fans. We were greeted promptly and our order was taken. The atmosphere is nice, a ample amount of tv’s and a nice outdoor seating area. We ordered their«Tang Pizza» and fries. I love hot wings and my wife also eats spicy food. But the amount of hot sauce on this pizza nearly made it inedible. By the start of the 2nd period the check was already on the table and our drinks stopped being refilled. So much for watching the rest of the game there. Apparently if you aren’t a «regular», you aren’t welcome. Certain that there are far better and more welcoming bars in the area, we won’t be back.

The wings are FANtastic! See what I did there? We were there for a Cub’s gam… oh, you got that already. Deliciously creamy buffalo sauce with a crispy fried wing on the side, delish! The beer comes in plastic cups which I wasn’t too excited about. I swear my Miller Light was brewed with curdled milk, or I might have just gotten a bad tap. They make a buffalo pizza with a parsley crust. I’d skip that if I were you. Unless you enjoy crispy, flavorless cardboard with wing sauce and rubbery chicken breast. Our server, Lucy, was reasonably attentive. Bathrooms are clean and in the basement. Large TVs broadcasting all of the college football games we were passing up to watch our Cubbies play. All in all, it’s not a bad place. The wings are memorable but I’d skip the rest of the rif raff. Also, check in on Unilocal and get 25% off your wings! You’re welcome.
