Awesome gallery representing a diverse and high-​caliber collection of artists. The exhibitions change almost monthly and overall there is, no doubt, something for every taste. I often find the work provocative and sometimes arresting. It’s never not interesting and the owners, Meg and Myra, are always very down to earth and friendly! Get in the habit of checking in on this gallery!

A previous review failed to mention that Zg Gallery features the work of around 15 – 20 represented artists working in a wide variety of mediums and subjects. Zg Gallery tends to exhibit artists that have a unique vision of life or utilize their medium in a highly technical manner whether it is through complex sculptural work or the buttery surfaces of a painting. The friendliness factor is definitely high at Zg. I’ve bought a few works from Myra and Meg, and they are always approachable and enjoy explaining why they selected a particular artist and what makes the artist’s work interesting.

This basement gallery displayed perhaps the creepiest collection of art during the recent River North opening night of gallery hopping. Repulsive semi-​human figures were in various cartoonish and grotesque poses in these paintings.
