Sparks Fly Fireworks has to be one of the best firework stores I have ever been to; and I have been to over a dozen different stores in New Hampshire. There are two things I like about this place: Pricing system, and their product selection. In order for firework stores to profit, they must order fireworks in bulk to receive a discount, therefore they must have a lot of faith in every piece they choose. They seem to favor World Class and Brothers, which are the best brands in my opinion. World Class having the biggest, brightest, and loudest breaks, while Brothers being an old«if it’s not broken don’t fix it» company. Their pricing system is new, and it’s set up so that the more you buy, the cheaper each product becomes. Buying a single 500g cake may cost $ 35 at first, but if you buy two the price of each goes down to $ 30 each, and if you buy 4 the price of each goes down to $ 25. That’s 4500g cakes for $ 100. The only other place I’ve seen with those kind of deals are Hooksett Fireworks and they only do it on a small selection of cakes, while this store does it on more than half their 500g selection. Everything in the store has this pricing system, reloadables, smaller cakes, fuse, even novelties. They sell 200g cakes such as Crazy Exciting for $ 10 when it’s $ 15 elsewhere. Matrix Pyro is a popular Brothers cake, here for $ 12 and elsewhere it goes for $ 18. Their canister shells are $ 60, their 150g cakes are $ 6 each, and 1.75″ shell kits are around $ 14. If you are funding a show, you don’t need to bother with wholesale. This place will offer that discount, but while mix-and-matching products instead of being at the mercy of an entire case of the same product. It may sound like this store is only meant for large purchases. If you’re just popping in to grab a few smaller party items — backyard entertainment — check out their mini-cake category. Those mini-cakes can be as cheap as $ 1.75 each when other stores sell them for $ 4-$ 6 each. It’s a little further up the highway from Derry and Hooksett, but it’s worth the extra travel. Despite their recent price hikes, they still have the best prices in southeastern NH. I just hope they stay that way.
