Amanda Place Apartments

As I am looking for a new place to move to in Chico I noticed something that was very revealing about Amanda Place Apartments. In the same price range around town nearly all apartment complexes have waiting list, while I have never seen Amanda Place full even when CSUS set a new record for total enrollment there were still empty apartments at Amanda Place. I think this observation is far more telling than any of the numerous negative experiences I could share with you.

I loved living at Amanda Place. The ladies in the office (Kendy & Ashira) were awesome. All of our maintenance requests were always resolved within 24 hours. The complex was quiet and well maintained and the free breakfasts on Wednesdays were a nice bonus. The rent is obviously more expensive than a lot of places in Chico, but I think the quality of this community was worth it. I was worried about how much of my deposit I would get back upon moving out because of the other reviews, but I followed everything on the cleaning list and ended up only getting charged for the standard carpet cleaning, which is required. The only reason I left was to move closer to the downtown area, but once that is no longer a priority I would definitely rent here again!

We loved the location of the apartments. Very quiet and well maintained.
The thing that set me off was the amount of deposit that they retained after we cleaned that apartment out to where maybe at maximum they needed 2 hrs to bring it to excellent condition. The bill we received was for 9 hrs of labor at $ 28+ an hr to clean it. That is such a rip off. Plan on leaving most of your large deposit behind when you move out!!!
