We live in Studio apartment and had climate masters come out today. The AC seemed like at times it would not produce much cold air. Wes came out and turns out it was a dirty air filter and other parts of AC that needed some cleaning. Wes was very friendly and when I asked questions about products or what he was doing he was very personable, explained things well, and told me to clean the filter about once a month. Now the Ac works like a charm. Thanks Wes and Climate Masters.

We rent a duplex and our landlord finally decided it was time to replace the 47 year old central HVAC that was original to our unit (seriously, it was that old). The duplex had two HVACs, one for each unit in the building. They each had an indoor furnace with a separate outside cooling unit for the AC that was connect to the furnace with coolant lines. Climate Masters came out and had the central heating and air units pulled out and replaced in both units in under a day. They replaced everything but the coolant lines, rewired the units to be up to code and everything. Left the place clean and were very nice. Great work. Five stars just for that.
About 10 months later our AC started to fail in the middle of the day. It was well over 100 degrees out so we at first thought it was just the heat and the poor insulation in the old building causing the problem. By that evening it was approaching 90 degrees in the house and the AC clearly wasn’t working correctly. Because we have a family member with breathing problems that can’t handle the heat we made an emergency call to Climate Masters and they sent a tech out *that night*. He worked in the dark to get our unit cooling again and was very nice and did a great job. He even checked up on us a few days later to make sure everything was okay. I can’t overstate how pleased I am with them.

Our AC Died Earlier this year and we ended up needing a whole new system, Jason the owner came and gave us an estimate, he was very nice, happy to explain and teach us about the whole process and what not, and after we got a few estimates, they actually ended up being significantly lower than everyone else.
Install was fast and the new system is much more efficient than our old one.
Now, for the reason they didn’t receive a full 5 stars, their secretary, Tawnya, was a VERY nice lady, however, she was completely slacking in doing anything, every time we called. If i had a question, she would have someone call me back «in a few minutes», which ended up being the next day, basically any timeline she gives you should be multiplied by 10. Other than that, they are great guys to work with.

Believe me, you are really vulnerable when you need a new H/​A unit unless you do the research and compare. Company A promised a lifetime guarantee, but that catch was parts only, they still charge for the labor. Company B said I only needed to fix leaking vents to the tune of $ 5000. Not true and they were not even certified by PG&E for the rebate and it turns out the vents tested out to be just fine!
Finally I found Jason at Climate Masters. I can, t count the number of e mails and phone calls but every question was answered to my full satisfaction. So I got a top end unit at a fair price and since everything was done strictly to code, I got some healthy rebates. The unit he recommended is the American Standard, quiet, efficient and he gave me a 10 year parts and labor warranty. The unit was very neatly installed, on schedule as promised. I am totally satisfied. Oh, and when a trouble light came on after I had the unit for a year, there were going to have a tech out that day. (The light went off on it’s own)
I also appreciate that the company is local and supports community arts like the Northstate Symphony.
