If I could give zero stars I would. I just called them for a few questions… I can’t even believe how rude they were to a potential customer on the phone. I hung up in disbelief. What a shame. Take my business elsewhere

I switched to Coast Gas after getting ripped off by Suburban Propane. Coast Gas promised they would not play the ripoff game. Now Coast is doing the same thing — charging a dollar more per gallon for gas than other companies. I called and wrote and told them I don’t like being gouged and they back off but with the next bill they continue their little game, so I’m switching to Reliance.

Since we live rurally, and we have a large tank, we only get deliveries about 3 times a year; maybe less. In December of 2012 I realized that we hadn’t gotten a delivery since April and looked at our tank. It was at about 20%, so I called in to see when they would deliver. The woman told me their system had us at no propane appliances and implied that was why we didn’t get a delivery. I updated her with our propane appliances and she said a delivery would be made the following week, about 5 days later. The day came and went with no delivery and several messages were left with no answer. We tried to get other propane companies to come out, as we had run out yesterday, but no one will deliver to another company’s tank. I went in to the office and spoke to Dale, who explained they have been having problems with their phone system(he said they hadn’t been able to retrieve messages). He told me he would have a someone come out and make a delivery this afternoon(2÷25÷14) and shook my hand on it. So, we’ll see. Update: the truck arrived about an hour after posting. I’m amazingly happy to be able to shower again so my mood has increased considerably.

I don’t even know where to start — to their credit, our tank is always filled. But, I think this has more to do with our neighbor being one of their drivers more than anything the corporate amerigas office does. The neighbor is cool. But, our autopay billing has been screwed up so many times over the past ten years. Unless you are the type that pays every month with a check, then apparently things get complicated.

Can not get them to return calls. Left 4 messages over several weeks, no call back. Worst customer service ever. Website is mostly broken and completely useless. Are they still in business?

Tri Flame was 2.35/gal on December 1, 2012. Anybody got a recent price from this company?

We began renting a house that already had Coast Gas propane in use. I called them to learn about the billing, told them all of the details and they explained I would need to pay to fill the tank. We planned on doing so until we decided to move. With 2 weeks left on the property, the gas was still not in our name, as we did not know this needed to be done. So without any delay, they shut off our service for not changing the billing information. The owner came to our home, saw that we had two kids and chose to shut off the service without giving us a 24 hour notice to handle the situation. Come to find out, we needed to pay for what was remaining in the tank, $ 117. I would have paid this had it been explained. I tried to call them after they shut off the propane and the phone line was busy for 3 hours, I finally drove over there and had the owner and two employees treat me horribly, accusing us of stealing the previous home owners gas. All of this drama and all we had to do was pay $ 117. The owner is heartless. He did offer to turn service back on at no charge but only because he knew what he did was wrong and unlawful. The owner of Coast Gas is friends with the guy who owns the property we had rented… I believe he decided to attack us personally and showed allegience to his friend and not the professionalism of the business he owns. BIGMISTAKE!
