Edward August Photography

Obviously all 5 reviews are from friends or family members cause this guy SUCKS!!! And what company on Unilocal has only 5 reviews in 3 years!!! I was in a wedding mid May and the bride just got pictures back today, 5 months later (after begging him). The pics were a USB stick in her mailbox by itself. No box or envelope, just sitting there. This was after it was «lost «in the mail twice prior. Actually, let me back up a bit to the actual wedding day. Ed-​WONT aka Edward was horrible with directions. He did not follow the brides picture MUST HAVE list. Did not provide one single brides family group shot with everyone’s eyes open (not that hard with family of 8). Was asked several times to take a picture of the bridesmaids from behind (really pretty backless dresses) and never did. In fact the only pictures he took with the bridal party was in 1 location with the wind blowing our hair everywhere while he laid on the grass taking pictures looking up. All of us were like nooooo we don’t like this angel let’s move and he said no. Seriously he said NO! I personally looked for him for about 20 minutes during the reception to ask for him to take a picture of the bride and I alone and I never did find him. The pics on the USB stick are totally out of order with no folders nor titles on each picture. He must have fallen in love with one of the female guest cause I am not shitting you there were just as many pics as this one in particular guest as there are of the bride. I found out after wards that he asked the bride’s dad for more money at the reception!!! WTF??? Highly recommend staying clear of Ed-​WONT because he will highly disappoint you. Thank goodness there was a family friend who is a photographer there who took pictures as fun and gave the bride a lot of amazing moments the very next day. Pretty sad a non-​paid friend delivered better than a paid professional on such an important day!

I wont be able to write enough good things about Edward, but I will try. First off, my father is an engineer and researches everything extensively and gathers many opinions before committing to anything so finding a photographer for our wedding was quite a process. It definitely paid off though! When we met with Edward, he was so open and enthusiastic to ALL our ideas for engagement pictures. He said, «let’s do it» to every shot I showed him. He planned a whole evening of shoots for us all over the city and we were so comfortable with him the whole time, which is really important in a photographer. Fast forward to when we got our sneak peak. I had emails, texts and calls from so many people telling me how amazing the pictures were. All our friends were saying how they were so original and like nothing they usually see. One friend even said, «you must have paid a fortune for those pictures!» Another told me that the image looked like it was taken off a magazine cover. Needless to say, we are BEYOND happy with our choice and we feel like we hit the lottery with him as our guy to capture our special day. I plan to have him snapping us and our family as it grows in the future and I will definitely be recommending him to everyone I know. Really great guy and very talented.

My husband and I hired Ed to do our wedding (he came highly recommended from one of our photography friends) and we could not be happier! From the booking process, to the wedding, to getting our final pictures, Ed has always been very easy to get a hold of, very helpful and always pleasant. We got our pictures about two weeks after the wedding and they are all amazing!!! He came early on our wedding day with an assistant photographer. We had a beach wedding with an after party and Ed was there for all of it. He captured some amazing moments and definitely captured the fun vibe of our wedding and our crazy friends! I would definitely recommend him
to anyone with a special event in the Bay Area. Thank you, Ed, for making the memories of that day extra special!!!

I have hired Ed to shoot many of my Interior Design projects for my professional portfolio. He is always great to work with– friendly, efficient, on time, flexible and patient. He has a great eye and always gives me tons of usable shots to choose from and is happy to make any extra adjustments and photoshop edits afterwards that I need. I’m grateful to have found him!

Ed is great. We really enjoyed having him photograph our sons baptism and we are booking him again for his upcoming 1^st birthday. He is very professional and his pricing is very reasonable.
