I have been seeing Dr. Nagel for for 1 year now and he has literally saved my life. After my hysterectomy over 7 years ago, my incompetent doctor at the time never really informed me of what would happen to my body after my hysterectomy. After many years of suffering with numerous unwanted symptoms and unsure of what was going on within my body, I was referred to Dr. Nagel. The BEST decision I’ve ever made. Not only is Dr. Nagel a knowledgeable doctor and compassionate about what he does, but he takes the time and explains to you what is going in in your body. I drive over an hour just to see him and I honestly have never met a Dr. who doesn’t just treat the symptoms and gives this magic pill, that just doesn’t exist. Dr. Nagel and his entire staff is in a league on their own. If you’re looking for high quality care from a doctor who genuinely cares about your health and a staff who treats you with the up-most respect and concern, you won’t be disappointed. I am truly grateful to have been blessed with such an amazing Dr. and staff. My life has been forever changed for the best, I highly recommend Dr. Nagel at the Quality of Life Medicine.

I will divulge that I’m not a patient. However, I am a health care practitioner and I work with most of Dr. Nagel’s patients. I must commend Dr. Nagel on not only being a knowledgeable practitioner, but also examining a patient well and treating all underlying conditions without just covering up symptoms with mainstream medicine. His knowledge of the internal functions of the body is at a depth that I see very rarely in medicine, and he applies it to treating his patients, who are the most loyal and happiest patients I’ve ever come across. Every town and city would be lucky to have a doctor like Dr. Nagel. If you are someone who are looking to improve their health and quality of life by have a deep look at the root cause of all their medical problems, see Dr. Nagel if you are within an hour’s drive of his practice. From what I hear and what I know, it’s worth it.

No one becomes a patient unless they meet with an intake coordinator first and is completely aware of what is expected in terms of treatment and cost. After discussing in detail what is offered for treatment, the patient signs an informed consent form stating they understand what is expected in regards to treatment and cost. Dr. Nagel does not practice conventional medicine and most of non conventional medical treatments are not covered by insurance companies. Insurance companies are set up for disease management of symptoms. Dr. Nagel is a Functional Medicine specialist trained to get to the root causes. Human Growth Hormone was not discussed with this patient nor recommended for treatment of Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency in this patient. Patients coming in thinking they’re going to get a pill to solve all their problems are in the wrong place. Patients do not like making dietary and lifestyle changes and blame the doctor for not addressing issues. Dr. Nagel does extensive lab testing that other doctors do not. He is more interested in getting to the root cause of the problem instead of treating symptoms. Dr. Nagel orders labs that he sees fit, not what the patient sees fit. Go whine to your conventional physician as he/she writes you a prescription for an anti-depressant. If you really want to get well, listen to what Dr. Nagel has to say. His 6000+ other patients have been able to get off of medications, get well and get their life back by following Dr. Nagel direction. Dr. Nagel is not your average physician. His practice isn’t for everyone, just the ones who truly want to get well.

If you have plenty of money and think human growth hormone and other ‘interesting’ science is for you, then go see Dr. Nagel. He seems very nice unless you opt not to pay his clinic LOTS of money. Also watch out for what he orders at the lab. I was stuck with approximately $ 1000 in bills after my insurance paid and he didn’t even bother to order labs for the anemia I told him about. Feeling very, very burned.
