Round Table Pizza

Ordered online, said it would be ready at 6:40. Got there at 6:30 paid cash, was told a few more minutes. 30 minutes later I approached the register again and low and behold my pizza was done and they never called me. They asked, did you pay? SMH, So I got a cold pizza and wings with no bleu cheese and half hearted apology. Not the best service.

I’ve been to all three of the Round Table Pizzas in Chico, multiple times, and I can confidently say that the Forest Avenue location is by far the best.
Chico’s Round Table Pizzas all have great customer service but the Forest Avenue location is able to take that up a notch. I’ve always felt valued by the employees here.
This is the ONLY Round Table Pizza in Chico that makes the Maui Zaui pizza correctly (GREEN ONIONS COME STANDARD ON THE PIZZA!) It is also the only Round Table Pizza in Chico that understands what I mean when I say that I want a red sauce base on the pizza and a Polynesian sauce drizzle on top. On my last visit I asked for (and paid for) both ham and pepperoni on my Maui Zaui. When I received the pizza there was no pepperoni. The manager was happy to cook some pepperoni and then place it onto my pizza thus solving the problem.
If you’re familiar with Round Table Pizza you know that they don’t skimp on toppings. I have been satisfied with this location’s toppings living up the (exorbitant) price paid. I watched my pizza being assembled and saw that the toppings were weighed on a scale.
All Round Table Pizzas are outrageously expensive. You should never order Round Table Pizza without a coupon. Luckily the Round Table Pizzas in Chico distribute coupons routinely and I was able to save almost $ 8 on the price of my pizza. It was still expensive, but considering the taste and amount of toppings it was worth the discounted price. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the price of the wings and salad bar. $ 5.99 for 6 wings (OUCH!) and $ 10.00 for two to-​go salads (SUPER OUCH!!)
There were multiple tables that needed to be bussed and cleaned in the dining room. I sat at a cleared table to wait on my carry-​out order, but, the table’s surface was noticeably sticky. The 20 minutes I spent waiting for my order showed no employee attending to the dirty tables or cleaning-​up the salad bar. It was obvious that the employees had their hands full making orders and needed some help.
If you’re buying Round Table Pizza you’re probably doing it for the quality and taste. Round Table Pizza needs to step-​up and provide a 5 star experience every time. I wouldn’t mind, and suggest, much lower prices to go along with that.

I love round table. My favorite pizza I’d say. Only thing is how dang expensive a pizza is. Lunch buffet is definitely a good deal though.

The original crust pizza I have no complaint. As for the triple play pepperoni crust is a hand made crust– it’s hard on the teeth, sand textured and chewy all at the same time. Our pizza had areas that had bubbled up and no cheese or toppings on that slice or area.
Tonight I tried a dessert they sold– it’s an Otis spunkmeyer cookie they cook there fresh, then top it with your choice of one of three gelato ice creams topped with chocolate & caramel sauce, whip cream & a cherry. Sounds delicious right?!? Especially if you have ever had the privilege of having a BJ’s pizookie you would be so excited to have something like that at your local roundtable… we’ll keep you $ 5.91 people– the Roundtable version is pure disappointment. The cookie is not cooked to order– they take it out of the plastic display case, slop the stuff on top and hand you a spoon– no melted gooey delicious center, no rush on eating the ice cream fast because it’s not gonna melt since the cookie is not hot or warm at all. I think they may have tried to warm it as the cookie was hard around the edges but yet my mound of ice cream on top didn’t melt. I told them how bad it was and they just kinda oh ok my concerns– oh well. Lesson learned won’t waste my money there.
I am posting a picture of mine– I requested none of the chocolate or caramel sauce so looks a bit different but this is exactly as served to me.

Awesome manager James! Order the special for economy reasons… an amazing product. This place would be 5 stars if remodeled.

A great option for overpriced pizza!
Chico is a college town, so naturally it has a plethora of pizza options. But sometimes, they’re just too affordable and too authentic.
That’s where Round Table comes in.
Aaaand, that’s as far as I’m interested in going with this unworthy, ironic post.

I came during lunch but the buffet was over. The gentlemen went ahead and allowed me to get the same deal. He also checked in with me to ensure I was ok and didn’t need anything. Great service that was unexpected in a chain restaurant. Great job, I’ll be back!

I’ve never had a bad experience with Round Table. They have very good pizza. The prices are a little high, but it’s also better than every where else in town. They also help out local small non profits with donations. I think they’re a great company.

I was very pleased with the customer service I received here. All of the employees were very friendly especially joe. From the second we walked in he greeted us with a smile, and made sure we had a great experience. He is a great employee, and because of him I will definitely return to this round table location. I have to say this was one of the best dinners I have had in a while. They brought out the food with speed, asked us if they could get us anything and smiled the entire time. Great dinner!!!

I have to give this location 5 stars because of the excellent customer service. The whole team was very friendly and attentive, and I’d have to say this was the best experience and customer service I’ve had from a Round Table Pizza.
In particular, Joe was extremely friendly — I hope he’s promoted to a manager soon (if he isn’t already) because if more Joes were running the RTP’s of the world, there would be no competition.

This place earns it’s 5 stars hands down. Service is great, all of the employees are attentive and helpful. I never have to wait too long for my orders. The best part is the fact that the manager care about his customers and ensures a great experience. This place is a must try for anyone that wants great pizza and even better service.

After my sister had her new baby and was finally home we came to visit them for the day. I wanted to order lunch for the group and pizza was the best option for kids and adults alike.
I called in an order for delivery of the Chicken Garlic Supreme and garlic twists. We also asked for extra paper plates napkins because we didn’t want to do dishes and we had little kids eating. You need lots of napkins which my sister didn’t have at the moment.
I paid with credit card and was kind of uncomfortable giving to the guy who answered. He asked me questions about my card that I’ve never been asked before. I was really uncomfortable and have been checking my card ever since. Nothing has happened but I’m still suspicious.
So then to the delivery. It came in a timely fashion. They forgot the plates and napkins. My poor sister had to do dishes which we are trying to avoid.
The toddlers gobbled down the garlic twists and pizza. It was a fine lunch.
Next time I’ll use cash to order for delivery.

Round table is one of my favorite pizza places. It’s the most tasty in my opinion and conveniently located. The only down side is the expensive price and 9 times out of 10 when I ask for ranch, I don’t get it. This is fine if I am picking up the pizza because I can check if they included the ranch and then ask for it again, but in the event of a delivery without ranch, it turns into a sad, sad situation.

Three complaints about this Round Table.
We ordered online and our Pick up time was 7:30, didn’t get everything until 7:50. Their excuse was that they mixed our order up with another customer. It was just a gourmet veggie and boneless hot wings. Kind of a pain.
While waiting we observed two guys walking into the back, pouring their own beer and going back to sit in the dining area. They were not in uniform but we assume they are employees. We found that very unprofessional. Employees on duty should not be drinking and employees off duty should not pour their own beer (or even grab their own food). I could see maybe grabbing some food but pouring drinks is very unprofessional and probably against company policy. AND if they weren’t employees it’s got to be illegal to just let random people pour and drink beer for free. Hopefully the manager is reading this.
Lastly, they forgot green onions on our gourmet veggie! WTF?! That’s our favorite part!
I suppose next time we will check the food before we leave… If we come back at all.

For fast food pizza it is pretty good, but I usually order delivery and every time they have taken a very long time to delivery and have messed up the order. But i do go bak, because the food is pretty good.

Round table’s salad bar does not disappoint. For the low price and great freshness of their lettuce, so worth the money to come here for an inexpensive lunch. And you don’t have to wait or tip!

I am a fan of round table, but do enjoy other spots in town a tad more. Without a coupon, it can be a little expensive. Delivery is also $ 2 bucks, but most places charge in my experience.
I have never had a bad experience with this Round Table though. Their service is always good, pizza is always fresh and hot and they have a good lunch buffet.
I will be back many more times I’m sure.

I really enjoy going to round table for their all you can eat lunch. You get salad and a ton of pizza which is always a good thing. It is really just your normal round table. They have a good selection of local beers which always make my trip here more enjoyable.

Grew up a Round Table fan. Love their salad bar and bread sticks too. just wish they’d take it easy on their prices a bit.
