I was kinda impressed years ago, way before I developed a taste for food. Tried takin my girl there a few times since… only to find an OPEN sign in the window and a VEHICLE out front each time, but nobody around(in the middle of the day during the week). ATLEASTTURNYOURSIGNAROUND… LMAOATWHOMEVERCAMEUPWITHTHESEHOURS!!! Fri/Sat 8pm-3am…really?! Maybe you should hire 1 of those drunks you cater to so they can teach you a thing or 2 about business.

This place is awesome because it’s such a joke. They’re only open Friday and Saturday nights 8pm-3am. They don’t have a cash register and do their booking on a notepad. But I do have to say when it’s 2am and you’re walking back to the zoo drunk as can be this place will do you dirty. Awesome Carne Asada and they guys are hilarious! My friends and I climbed on their counter and took pics with them. The experience was worth it.

Food is expensive for a lacklusting burrito with a not-so-happy staff that only works at night when it actually is open. Hardly anyone eats here except when it’s the weekends when drunk people need something to eat, and even then, it’s good because you’re intoxicated.

The worst food in Chico by far. The worst service and the worst food. Nothing is worse then this bull shit food. Not only Do you want to shit for hours on end after eating it You also want to hit someone across the face for the worst service is town. They smell… the smell and so does the food

Eating burritos out of California’s Ass! Screw this place, they’ll try to short change you if you look intoxicated.

Went there for the first time today based on a friends recommendation for lunch. I had a burrito with chips and salsa. The burrito was big, tasty and filling! The salsa was one of the best around town. I recommend this place to anyone that is looking for some good food and wants to support Chicos local businesses.

The food was ok at best. Nothing that I would ever recommend, especially considering all of the excellent Mexican food options that are available in Chico. I have to say the service left a lot to be desired as well. The girl who took our order acted as if we were a giant inconvenience to her, and when we attempted to lighten the mood with a little small talk she became even colder. Maybe I could be a bit more understanding if they were busy at the time, however we were the only customers in the restaurant. I wonder why!?! I will not be returning to this establishment again, but maybe you can take a chance on it… we did tip the poor girl in the hope she might go out and buy herself a better personality.

These guys know how to make great food. It always comes out at a decent speed(not too fast) and is great. The burritos are amazing, as are the quesadillas. Also, they have dollar tacos!!! Those are great, especially when you are a starving student(which I was). They also have a great salsa bar.

When I lived at the Zoo a few years back, I’d go here fairly often. Sometimes you just crave a huge tasty burrito! But when I went in not to long ago, it was under new ownership. They have a similar menu, but with higher prices. It also doesn’t taste as great: the chicken was dryer, and my burrito was pretty bland. Oh well, at least there’s a million other places in town to get a burrito.

The food section of the newspaper I work at featured a wire story on fish tacos the other day. My mind instantly reverted to Teddy Malibu’s and Taco Tuesdays. Most of my buddies are rednecks like me, just not as daring with their food choices. A fish taco was an evil concept to them. And I’ll admit I never tried anything besides fish tacos when I went to Teddy Malibu’s, so if you’re looking for a critique of the calamari burrito, you’re SOL here. But when I was an editor at The Orion, a group of us would make it a standard practice to meet up at Teddy Malibu’s for Taco Tuesdays as a celebration of another week of newspapering survived. Okay, time to get off of Memory Lane and back onto Review Road. It’s your typical fish taco: Fried fish, cabbage and sauce in tortillas. What bumps the Teddy Malibu taco up, in my opinion, was the pineapple salsa. You got the sweet pineapple taste with a little snap to it. Toss on some lime juice, and you’re in business. And since my crew showed up so friggin’ late(it takes a while to put a newspaper together, you know), there was hardly ever any left. Refill, Teddy, refill!
