This is place is great for killing time or for hardcore thrifters. There’s a lot to look through but it’s well organized and I never leave the store with out purchasing a new treasure. Not for the impatient though. Its a large store and you have to look through a lot of junk to find the good stuff.

The items in the Bargain center are not to bad, clothes and shoes are nice but slot of the electronics are very well used and garbage. Not bad prices. Cheap cheap cheap.$

Great store. Found a leather bag for $ 10 in perfect condition. It’s a great place to spend some time digging around at. I only left with one really awesome item, but it was a winner

This is my most favorite place to go atleast once a week. I do hair and my clothes is always getting ruined with color or hair bleach spots. I buy a bunch of shirts there for ¼ of the cost of department store prices. I even find designer clothes there. Thursday is half off day for the entire store. They have daily discounts also. Definitely a place to visit first for Halloween or a big interview. Happy hunting.

Watch for 50% Off days which they have frequently. Not the cleanest thrift store in town but a large store with good finds.

This is a good place! It’s on a busy street and can be difficult to get in & out of at times! It can be a bit messy and unorganized, but they offer daily deals and discounts. Prices are fair! I enjoy finding good bargains and looking through all they have.

Great prices, large selection but kind of a dump. Last time I was there they were doing some work on the roof and the interior so maybe that is going to change? Still, its in an old Holiday Market grocery building and it sure looks worn out. Hasn’t been updated in decades. I drop in a few times a month to see what they have. Little bit of furniture, some electronics, some books, a good amount of kitchen items and dishes/glassware and TONS of clothes. Probably the largest selection of thrift clothing in Chico. Its not upscale by any means but if you’re willing to dig threw the racks you can find some quality stuff at good prices.

When I first went to TB, I thought it was a dumpy place and didn’t find anything. The trick with TB is to look past the grime to find the«gems» that are hiding within… Once you figure that out and if you have the patience, so will start to love this store like I now do. They have color-coded sale tags and also certain days where the entire store is discounted. You can’t beat that! They are always stocked to the brim and seem to have good turnover of their inventory. That makes it fun to come in just to see what is new. They have more electronics than most thrift stores, likely because they take eWaste at their donation center. They have furniture too, but most of it seem pretty beat up. If you are in the mood for a good thrift store hunting expedition, go to thrift bargain and knock yourself out!

This thrift store was great a while back but has gone down hill recently. I used to frequent their 50% sales and find great deals. Now when I go it is so unorganized, feels dirty. I don’t go there much at all any more.

I’m not a fan of this place at all, I’ve only been here about three times because I was desperate to find a certain item. This place smells baaaaad, like really bad. I went in here once during the rainy season and the stench was multiplied due to the ceiling leaking in various spots. And I noticed whenever I’m here I have to wash my hands or use hand sanitizer asap when I’m done shopping, my hands feel icky after browsing, something I’ve never had a problem with in other thrift stores. The place is just plain dirty, inside and out. They have a variety of knick knacks and small wall fixtures that isn’t too bad, the prices are good too. Furniture is okay, usually had super-outdated couches but to each their own. Lots of electronics stuff. And where are all of those hipsters the other reviewers were talking about? All I’ve seen is families with multiple screaming kids literally throwing stuff around.

Nothing special about this thrift store, pretty normal in fact. I would say that it might be a little dirtier nowadays, but that might just be my imagination. You definitely can find deals here, you just have to look hard enough. Prices are reasonable, they have colored price tags that reflect daily discounts. Decent selection of older electronics, as well. I don’t see many ‘hipsters’ here these days, I think that honestly popular fashion has moved on and left only those that enjoy the look at the thrift stores. Either that or enough irony is available through other means that they don’t come here anymore. And honestly, what’s wrong with hipsters coming in and god forbid, buying things that no one else would ever want? But I guess that’s a topic not meant for a review of a thrift store.

Awwww! This place was awesome in the 90s when I lived in Chico. Sounds like it’s been co-opted by lousy hipsters. Dammit. I got some of the best shit around, that I still wear, from Thirfty Bargain. Found a lucite purse here for a $ 1.99. The purses, jewelry, and jackets back in the day rocked my world. Oi, and I miss Rafael! Anyway, this place is huge, and does get a ton of stuff, so it’s worth checking out. Last time I stopped by a few years ago I did come away with a couple of cool clothing items for not a lot of cash. I agree with what a previous poster wrote about the furniture(and bikes) — sometimes waaaay overpriced. But I picked up two Eames style chairs for 20 bucks once. You just gotta go on a good day.

i used to live down the street from thrifty bargain. youve got to have some energy to dig through those racks to seperate the ugly 90s shoulder-padded blouses to find the gems. it’s really a hit or miss situation. they really like to overprice the furniture(excluding some of the comfortable chairs) ie: falling apart entertainment center … $ 60. However, one time, I swear an old lady died and gave her entire shoe collection to thrifty bargain. Thank god she was a size 8, I stocked up. it’s become increasingly popular as the hipster crowd grows in chico. Mehh.

This place has got a huge selection. Most of it is pretty much garbage though. You really have to sift through their racks and be super committed to finding that ironic shirt or ironic pair of cowboy boots or that ironic whatever it is you’re looking for. You lousy hipster. I guess ever since Jean Farm closed down all the too-cool-to-be-cool kids have to actually search for their clothes.
