Referred by my dentist for a root canal evaluation. X-​ray taken by the dental assistant and each step of the evaluation explained by her. Dentist then did physical examination and showed and explained the x-​ray findings. Recommendation to not do a root canal but to extract the tooth by my regular dentist seemed soundly based. If it had been an emergency Dr. Van Mierlo would have done the extraction.
Based on this one experience, this is a thoroughly professional and patient-​oriented practice. Most of the cost was paid by my Delta Dental Insurance.

From the moment you walk into Dr. Van Mierlo’s office and are greeted by the admin Janet, you feel welcomed and that everything is going to be alright. Janet is genuinely friendly, personable and professional. She has got everything under control! Dr. Van Mierlo is also a very warm and open person and I liked him the moment I met him. The same goes for the woman who did my preliminary work up. I was clearly advised as to their findings and well prepared for my surgery. I decided to take the meds to relax me and was barely aware that I was in a dentist’s chair! Janet called me the day after my surgery to check on me and I was happy to report that I felt the surgery was a piece of cake and that the area around my tooth is sore but nothing a couple of Ibuprofen doesn’t take care of. I cannot recommend their office highly enough.
