Wine Time

Ok love this place!!! On my side of town!!! Small delicious plates, good variety of food and wine! I hear people want more foreign wines but I love that they offer SO many LOCAL wines! Our favorite was from Oroville!!! Oroville!!! Ok. So on to dessert! Spicy chipotle choclate truffles! along with the dessert wine! Heaven has been found!!! The atmosphere was beautiful! Super comfy chairs, I could go on and on !! I will be a regular here.

Well, pretty disappointed with this place! My husband and came here about a year ago and it was great! However this time… completely different experience!!! We got there right on time for our res and were seated right away (with one menu, but what ev). A couple minutes later a woman server came by and and half assed acknowledged us. Not even a hello, how are you? We previously saw her basically hugging every other person that came in.?? She acted annoyed and quickly asked us what we wanted to drink. Then she was annoyed when my husband asked for a taste of something and then proceeded to stare at him until he decided.?? Took our order, brought out out food in the opposite order that we ordered it and brought out a burnt dish. After sitting there for an hour with 4 empty glasses and no 3^rd dish we were over it! We asked for our bill and the very friendly owner came over and comped most of our bill and tried to give us a gift card and apologized for the food wait. The food wasn’t nearly as bad as the service! My husband and I worked in the industry for a long time and are extremely patient and understanding but this was just insulting. We won’t be back.

Food: MB, C, E, and I had an impromptu Galentine’s Day dinner without reservations at 5:30pm. Fondue special on Valentine’s Day weekend for $ 20 for 3 – 4 people? Pretty good deal. We opted for the classic cheese fondue. While we had enough melted cheese in our fondue pot, we didn’t have enough of the bread and veggie cubes, so we had to tack on an extra $ 5 for an additional plate of food. Fondue wasn’t that tasty either. Maybe next time, we should order from their tapas and food menu.
Service: Inattentive. Our waitress accidentally gave our order of spanakoptika to another table. How is that possible?! Since the item hadn’t arrived when we finished our fondue, we cancelled it.
Ambience: Classy and upscale place. Live music at 7pm on Saturdays. Most people were dressed up in elegant dresses and suits. My friends and I just came from a winery tour, so we were much more casually dressed.
I’ll come back for another fancier occasion, and give their food menu and servers a second chance.

The atmosphere of wine time was beautiful but the service was exceptionally poor and inexcusable. My daughter and I went to wine time to consider it as a possible venue for a wedding reception. We had ordered vegetarian dishes from the menu (they offer meatballs and anti meatballs). Our server brought out the first dish and then a different server brought out the «meatballs». They were the wrong ones! After eating one of the meatballs (yuck) the correct order came out. Although the server apologized, she did not seem sincere. Almost made us feel like it was our fault. The manager knew something was going on, look right at me and never came over to our table. For what they charge, their customer service should be much better. Needless to say the reception will not be held at this establishment. And now I have a tummy ache :(

Great customer service, good food. It isn’t a dinner venue per say. If you are hungry, I’d recommend going somewhere else. However the quality of the food is excellent.

My favorite place for drinks and food in Chico. Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The best!

I was visiting a girlfriend who moved to Chico from the SF Bay Area.
Coming from San Francisco, I was not expecting anything special to come from any restaurant in Chico. Sorry!
Thankfully, I was wrong and pleasantly surprised. The food and wine was excellent. And I really enjoyed the outdoor seating area.
Next time I’m in Chico, I’ll definitely make a stop at this spot.

First i have to say the setting and ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful. However… We recently had dinner here and that wasn’t so wonderful. The wine was very good, but very pricey ⁹⁄₁₀ $ a glass. The food was disappointingly mediocre for how it was advertised. A shrimp scampi dinner for $ 14 that consisted of a small 8 oz cup of spiralized zucchini and approx. 6 small shrimp sitting on top of it with a plain butter sauce and nothing else to set it off… maybe some acid would have been nice? lemon maybe?, no they saved that for the chocolate elaire dessert??, it was a real disappointment.
The soup we shared with smoked ham was smoked-​ham heavy… really couldn’t discern any other flavor in the soup except smoked ham. We did have the spanokopita and that was actually very good. Then I ordered the ‘special’ $ 10 dessert, an elaire pastry horn with a chocolate mousse filling with lemon zest (??) grated on the top of the chocolate filling. It tasted just ok, the pastry horn had been made and refrigerated and was subsequently tough and the temperature of the cold dough took all flavor away from the pastry itself. I wont be back for seconds.

Nice place but hard to find. Super pricey. Went when there was live music which was good. Had the Brie with tri-​tip appetizer, that was yummy. Lots of sugar daddies with their midlife crisis trophies here.

I love this place purely because Lisa the chef makes the most beautiful food! I could spend the whole day enjoying her amazing creations while sipping wine! Truly the best!

LOVE this place. This is one of my favorite places in Chico to go to when I get together with my girlfriends. Great wine list. Super yummy and original appetizers. Love the cheese and meat plate as well as the antipasto plate. The girls that work there are always nice and helpful. I suggested 2 wines and they ended up calling the winery reps right then to speak to them about getting some bottles in. If you are a wine lover or foodie, you must go here!

We had such a fun time tonight! Saturday night live music at Wine Time is probably my favorite thing to do in Chico. What made the experience even more wonderful than usual was our server, Georgia. Me and my boyfriend were pretty obnoxious, ordering a million different things every few minutes, but Georgia was so understanding and helpful. She recommended everything and we enjoyed all of it! I’ve never had a bad experience at Wine Time. Thank you to the amazing chef, staff, music, and wine. See you soon!

A great selection of wines. Had their meat and cheese small bites dish and it was very good. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Really enjoy this place. Great service good food and with just a few beers on tap they were decent as well.

Wine Time is a «breath of fresh» to the sophisticated Chico diner. This restaurant offers a unique wine, spirit, and food selection to its patrons. furthermore, the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I recommend Wine Time to any restaurant connoisseur who wants to have a memorable dining experience. I can’t wait to return with my friends!

I absolutely fell in love with Wine Time. I went to Wine Time for my first time on 3÷10÷2015. The reason why I went to Wine Time was because they were having a fundraiser for The Yellow Door. I loved the décor, atmosphere, and the staff. I love the fact that on wine list there were wines from Chico and Vina. Definitely will be going there again.

Beautiful comfortable place to go and have a glass of wine with friends. I love the outdoors here as spring is around the corner. Good food also.

I almost hesitate to write this review, because honestly I wish they would remain a hidden gem that I can get a table at when I want to without a huge wait. But I can’t resist, this is by far my new favorite place to go in Chico.
Of course, I love wine, but I also like to eat. Most of the places in Chico to get a good glass of wine only serve things with MEAT. And I’m a sweet little vegetarian who prefers to eat mostly vegan. Where does a human like me go in this town? Red tavern? Nope. Fifth street? Haha, nuh uh. Leons? Maybe sometimes, but what if I don’t want a big meal?!
Not to fear fellow veggie eaters, Wine Time is here!
We eat out at nice restaurants a lot, and this is some of the yummiest food in Chico. Small plates, easily shared, and tons of delicious and healthy veggie options. The anti-​meatballs are AMAZING! But so is everything else on the menu, small plates schmall shplates, I can get my grub on so hard here I’m leaving with a full belly no doubt! Hats off to the chef.
But it’s not just the wine and food that make this place so great, the owner and staff are wonderful as well. They are so sweet and super accommodating, I would go back to a place with people like that even if the food was so-​so!
One time my credit card was lost there, it’s a long slightly bizarre story, but the gist is that they eventually found it for me, were genuinely concerned it had been lost in the first place, and then gave me a gift certificate for a free glass of wine on my next visit. So nice and cool… and now that I’ve written all this I’m feeling like going there immediately!
Oh yeah, and PS. It’s really pretty inside and out too!

I have been coming here since Wine Time opened a couple of years ago and it is one of my favorite spots in Chico. The manager and staff are extremely friendly, they have a fantastic selection of wine, and the food is amazing! I have attended several work events for large parties here and they have always been extremely accommodating. This is a great spot to go out for dinner with friends or have a romantic evening with a loved one. I highly recommend their Not Garlic Bread and their Flank Steak Flatbread.
Because we love this place we reserved the venue for our wedding and it could not have gone more smoothly! The manager met us their at 9 am to start setting up and helped with everything. They helped us with the caterer and baker throughout the process and we were very pleased with the experience. The manager and staff that worked the event were very accommodating and helped everything go perfectly! I cannot thank them enough and would highly recommend this venue for any type of gathering! It was perfect! Thank you Wine Time!
