Big Y World Class Market

I love this store! The bakery alone is worth the trip! Glazed crescents OMG. My only two critics are the hours of operation, and the outrageous price of things when not on sale.

Being newly married saving on groceries and grocery shopping has become more prominent and important in my life. I find that I have the most savings at Big Y compared to stop and shop.

I’d love to say this Big Y truly met the definition of «world class,» and in some respects, it does. This is a big, expansive supermarket located off of Memorial Drive that manages to cover food needs for every taste. It gets major points for its dairy and produce departments, which are among the best in the area, and is noteworthy for its discount offerings. I particularly like the rewards coins that a shopper gets when he or she patronizes the store regularly. They’re a great feature that helps cut the cost of groceries better than most other rewards programs. Customer service is very professional without being cold, and makes both new and old shoppers feel welcome.
Parking and entrance/​exits aren’t as easy as they need to be and could be hazardous when the store gets crowded. Inside, though, this Big Y features wide aisles and shelves that are easy to reach. Although prices are a bit high, most notably in the frozen department, this store provides an excellent shopping experience.
