What I liked most about Video Game Castle happened within five minutes of entering the store. The owner/manager struck up a conversation with me about vintage games, Japan, collecting and gaming. He invited me to come back and experience some of the tabletop events the store offers. And he let me know about the games he had in stock, and those which he sees passing through. All that translated to an excellent customer service experience that will definitely have me coming back. The selection is really good for a store of its size, with plenty of titles to choose from for every gaming era(though heavier on NES/SNES and onward). From Japanese Dreamcast titles to an exceptional selection of PSP games, I easily spent an hour in the shop browsing before finally purchasing a game. The prices are also excellent. They vary with regards to internet, which is to be expected, but by and large the store definitely caters to the collector and player. There’s even space devoted to card games, tabletop games, and war-games, which only adds to the appeal.

One of the best places in the area to find vintage video games. They have an impressive collection of games for all the popular old systems(Gensis, NES, SNES, etc), and some of the more obscure systems as well(Turbografx anyone?). They also have a good number of older consoles as well, so if you’re looking to get into video game collecting, this is a great place to hit up. The prices can be all over the place, but are generally pretty fair. Definitely worth a trip.
