Really good food and a good selection of items. Rolls, sushi and appetizers are really good. The outside is very unassuming but it has a nice fun vibe. Service is friendly. Portions are also quite generous so the it’s an amazing value.

Great place to have dinner. Always generous portions and they have no problem cooking your food to order. We always get the hibachi grilled food so I can’t attest to the rest of the menu. It has been open for a few years now and I feel the quality of the food has went down slightly. But overall it is good for an every once in a while meal.

Our grill chef was very nice so I wish I could leave a better review. I ordered sushi and it was a mess, they were extremely inconsistent pieces and they were flattened and shredded when they got to me. I got the smallest sushi roll I’ve ever seen and it cost me $ 13! I ordered their bao buns and they literally gave me a piece of BBQ pork the size of a quarter on a steamed bun the size of the palm of your hand. My bill was the most expensive at the table and i got the least amount of food. Is was not a good experience for me at all. The hibachi was delicious for the other diners, however. No complaints from anyone!

This place is very nice. Friendly staff. Very good mixed drinks. Even when there is a wait for hibachi it is not long. There is plenty of food on your plate. If you leave hungry it’s your fault. Food is great, cooked exactly how you ask. They are happy to accommodate special requests. Also serve Pepsi so bonus, you’re not stuck with Coke. Sushi is Good, Very well prepared and fresh, for being inland.

I’ve had really great sushi and really terrible sushi… I’m just happy there’s sushi in Chilli at all. This isn’t the best I’ve had nor the worst and it’ll do in a pinch if you need a sushi fix. Hana is well hidden next to Big Lots and tucked behind another restaurant. It’s a seemingly enormous place considering the number of people I saw eating here when I was dining. I tipped the sushi chef and he sent me an appetizer with sea weed, shredded carrots, yellowtail and mackerel in a sweet vinegar dressing. I didn’t love it but I’m not a mackerel fan. Over the years, I’ve found that any decent sushi bar will send you something to sample if you tip them upfront FYI. I appreciated the gesture here. The sushi itself was my litmus order… egg, eel, tuna and a spicy tuna roll. The tuna was cut well and decent in size. It tasted fresh and the texture was really nice. I enjoyed it a lot. The eel was perhaps a little over baked but still tasty. The spicy tuna had what I thought were tempura flakes adding a little crisp to the inside but the box of Rice Chex on the back counter may have played a roll in that. Creative but a little shoddy if that were the case. My chef explained that his egg tomago is made in-house rather than bought frozen from a supplier. While I appreciated the explanation, his version was a little watery and loose but still tasty. Service was quick and friendly and I think they were a little surprised that I requested hot sake to drink. My server also seemed surprised at how fast I ate my plate of sushi and split but all in all I’d come back. The sushi was passable but maybe it changes depending on the night of the week. Just remember that the nigiri is priced for two pieces… it wasn’t written or I didn’t see it initially.

Wow! I don’t if its because I’ve had sushi all over the country but this was terrible. It was identical to the carton sushi you can buy at the grocery store. Had little to no flavor and most of the fish was starting to dry. Don’t waste your time coming here for the sushi or rolls. Been here before for the hibachi which is good and have no complaints about the food or the service. That being said, the rolls and sushi was abysmal! And it wasn’t just one dish. The bill was about $ 100 for two so we tried an array. Save yourself the time, money, and disappointment and just go the grocery store.

Food is still good, service has improved. Would recommend this restaurant. Small town isn’t an easy place to do business!

Big portions but medicore quality. The salad was a bit wilty, the flavors muddled, and the gish not quite fresh. It Was bery busy on a Friday night and the folks at the hibachi tables really seemed to enjoy this place, so maybe i’m a little spoiled by the excellent Asian(chinese, jspanese, thai, vietnamese) back.

Place is what I expected having visited many other hibachi restaurants. Food was tasty. Husband did note he wasn’t sure what the soy sauce«mixture» that gets put on everything had in it. Seemed thicker than just soy sauce. I do like they give you an option of rice or noodles. Some places just do rice. Overall a pleasant experience. Inside décor was nice considering outside is plain.

Well worth a visit. Enjoyed the selection and the lunch hibachi. The house sauces were very good, the miso could be improved upon. Side salad was really good, with the awesome ginger dressing, which I totally love. Edamame was good sized for the price, but the Tempura was pricey for the amount of veggies, plus I don’t remember mushrooms, which are the best.

Overall, we were very please with our lunch on the Hibachi side of the restaurant. Our server was attentive, and the Hibachi Chef was friendly and entertaining. We both got the Chicken on the Hibachi, which came with soup, salad, and a choice or rice or noodles– very good portions for under $ 9 a person. I do not know how pricy they are for dinner time, but I thought it was a good buy for lunch. We will definitely be going back for lunch again, when in the area.

Good sushi, wine and saki in addition to a wide range of other Japanese foods. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. To my mind this is one of the three best restaurants in this area.

Surprised to see this in Chillicothe. We stopped by on a weekday around 5, and it was moderately busy. We sat at the grill, having read the other reviews. Our chef was good at what he did– cooking and showmanship. We all had fun, kids in nearby groups were laughing, etc. And the food was pretty darn good. Not too different from other Japanese steakhouses I’ve been too, meaning: nicely grilled, tasty, not very healthy, large portions. Sweetie had the geisha combo, I had NY strip and scallops. I love scallops, and you never know if they’ll be done right(so easy to overcook.) These were perfectly done and tender. I still don’t get the yum yum sauce fetish. It’s okay, but there are plenty of other things I’d prefer. Besides, the food is pretty good unadorned. Oh, well.

Hmm. Must have went on the wrong day or something judging by the ratings this place has. Definitely the worst Japanese steakhouse I’ve been to. Didn’t eat at the hibachi side so can’t say anything about that, however, the service was awful. Waited 2 hours for my food. That never came, so pretty much watched everyone else in my group eat. Was told countless times it’d be right out. What a joke. But judging by everyone else I was with, I didn’t miss much, but not surprised judging its sushi in Chillicothe. Can’t be too good lol. Ill stick to the hundreds of sushi places I have to choose from where I live in South Carolina, or save it for when I visit California or Vegas. LOL.

Excellent change of pace for Southern Ohio. I try to make it to Hana once a week for sushi. I usually get the Volcano roll and I always leave wanting more. It is very good. My wife recently had the hibachi chicken and my daughter has the hibachi New York Strip. Both of these are good choices and the veggies that accompany are great as well. The seafood hot and sour soup is a favorite. We’ve never had trouble getting a table, unsure about the wait for hibachi. Prices are somewat high… I usually spend around 60 $ for 2 adults and 2 kids.

We did not eat on the hibachi side as it was just my husband and I dining. We wanted to sit and eat dinner fairly quickly. It was the first time for both of us. The staff was very sweet and worked quickly. For dinner, you receive a salad, soup and your entrée. I did not care for the salad mainly because of the ginger dressing. My husband liked it though. I liked the soup but it was not to my spouse’s liking. He favors a hot and sour soup. The dinner is enough for at least two people. Very generous favorite thing was the tempura. I could have ate that alone. I ordered chicken teriyaki and had nearly two breasts left over. I would definitely go back.

This is an unbelievable place. Located in a strip mall; very unassuming. but walk inside, and the place is amazing. The décor is very contemporary, and upbeat, so unusual for Chillicothe and a strip mall. 4 different venues inside the restaurant: a contemporary bar; a sushi bar; a dining room; and a hibachi room. i’ve eaten in both the dining room and the hibachi room. Both good experiences, but the hibachi room has something extra. a chef with a sense of humor. i actually forgot to eat while watching the entertainment. it was such a great time. oh, and the food was tasty too!

I never thought I’d live to see a day where I could get sushi in Chillicothe, OH. Let alone good sushi. When you pull up to the location(adjacent to a Hobby Lobby on the side of the Chillicothe Mall) it looks very un-assuming from the outside. Like the shady can’t see inside of the tinted windows Chinese restaurants I used to eat at as a kid. The location used to be Waterbeds and Stuff but the inside has been completely redone. How they got the smell of incense out of that location I’ll never know. For my mom’s birthday lunch we ordered Shrimp Tempura, Miso Soup, and a variety of rolls(Sweet Potato, Dragon, Philly, Ebi). The tempura was lightly breaded and cooked very well. All of the rolls were excellent and prepared very well. I think my mom put it best by saying, «I’m happy they actually got a real sushi chef instead of some hill jack.» The location has a hibachi side and a regular dining side. My one complaint is the noise from the hibachi side can carry over into the dining side and make conversation a little difficult. But aside from that I was pleasantly surprised with our trip. Our bill came to around $ 40 and we ate every bite. Bravo Hana. Bravo.
