Old Town Fabric Shop

Another incredible find, on my day trip to Chillicothe! A store front mixed into the downtown shops. Lots of space to move around. Cleaning organized fabrics. Walk toward the back corner, you’ll see a hodgepodge of clearance cloth.
There are finished quilts hanging all around. My eye caught the design of a turquoise/​purple/​yellow print quilt. If the people here weren’t so darn polite and friendly, I would have grabbed that lap-​covering and run. So, I decided on the next best think: chat with the lady that works their, and see if she has a kit.
Bummer — no kits left. The lady and I talked for a good fifteen minutes. We were able to iron out all the kinks. She offered to make me a kit (she cuts all the fabric!!) using all the original fabrics. If she happens to come short on a print? She’ll substitute another print from that line that looks just as good. I was thrilled!
For just over $ 80, I got an awesome quilt kit. The pattern, prints, and colors are just my style! I’m excited to return and pick it up, in a few weeks!
