I locked myself out of my house. Granted, these things happen to people. But $ 300 to replace a bottom lock is just all out rape!
A locksmith was dispatched to my residence and arrived about 30 minutes after I called. The operator told me it would be a $ 29 service fee and everything else depended on that. Upon arrival, the technician told me that it would have to be drilled off for $ 169 and $ 89 for a new handle. Oh, by the way, let’s not forget the tax! Hell, I didn’t even receive a follow up call to tell me that my payment had been processed. All in all it wad a grand total of $ 289 and while I am fortunate to have a job, I will have to write this off as an unnecessarily expensive lesson learned. One of those lessons is to find a cheaper locksmith because I swear I feel voilated from those prices!
