Worst food on the planet. Literally a greasy spoon. Horrific! The staff is rude and act like you’re bothering them on top of it!

Diner diner diner. Food dinerish. Not a lot of restaurants to choose from in the area. Very short staffed in dining room. Took forever to get a check… And no check in after I got my food… ho hum. But it was food!

My boyfriend and I stopped in to grab a bite to eat on our way thru. He had the grilled BBQ chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, veges, and a salad and I had the broccoli and chicken Alfredo dinner with a salad. The chicken was cooked perfectly, moist and cut with a fork tender. The broccoli and veges were steamed to perfection, not over cooked to mush like previous places we’ve stopped. The waitress was attentive and we never seen the bottom of our glasses. It’s a little hole of a place on the side of the highway with not so much on ambiance but the food was great! There’s also a hotel and RV park if you pull in late and need a spot to crash. Free WiFi while you eat and the drinks were perfectly poured.. not overly to where all you have is alcohol and not under to where you can’t taste what you ordered. I’d give this little place a 4 ½ only because of lack of atmosphere. But if you’re looking for good food, I give this little spot a 5.

Rueben Sandwich and my hubby had the Steak Sandwich for lunch. The steak sandwich especially was excellent! Great service, friendly atmosphere — great little diner!

Great stop for dinner. Service was a little slow but it was late and they only had one servr working. The food more than made up for it though. Don’t miss out on their homemade lemonade.

As far as Melita’s is concerned, you need to keep your expectations low. It’s a small diner in the middle of nowhere. The food was greasy, cheap, and the portions were large. My husband has celiac disease, and he was able to order breakfast here without getting ill, so for that they get three stars instead of two.

Staying in town for a night between driving from Bend OR to SF. We needed a place for dinner and this was open fairly late on a Sunday(8pm). The menu had a bunch of good options, but holy crap the service took forever! To be fair the woman seemed a little frazzled and with a lot of tables. But we somehow completely skipped over the salads that came with the meal. No biggie. I did have to ask a couple of times for the glass of wine I ordered with the meal. The blue steak was decent. I was just happy to have some meat after camping out at a mountain bike festival all weekend. The Marion Berry pie with whipped cream made it all worthwhile at the end! If I’m back in town, I think I would plan a bit more in advance and run down to Klamath Falls or grab dinner somewhere in route. If you’re in the area and looking for something that’s open with a reasonable selection of food, this place works.

Five stars for typical diner food. Cheeseburgers and French dip were good. They even had a veggie burger for my vegetarian daughter. Other daughter ordered steak with blue cheese, which was cooked just right. Server was friendly and attentive. Nothing fancy, but tasty and hit the spot after a long travel day.

Stopped by here for breakfast before visiting Crater Lake. One of the few places to stop in the Klamath area, and certainly worth it. I ordered the Melita’s breakfast, and my girlfriend ordered the corned beef hash. The portions were good, and both came with a large variety of breakfast foods, eggs, hash browns, toast, etc. Everything was cooked just as ordered, the eggs were great and so was everything else. I would recommend coming here to anyone in the area.

Five stars for coolness of being next to airport. We landed there and walked over for breakfast. Two for friendliness of server. Two stars for over easy egg they are one of the few restaurants that still cook over easy eggs with the whites not cooked. We weren’t the only ones in the restaurant that had the same concern and when the waitress was asked she chewed the customers head off. He wasn’t they only one she ruffed at(Sounds like they get asked a lot. Clue?) I would come in again and try lunch due to the ability to fly in not the staff. Except the bus guy he was good. Owner: secret shopper might be a good idea!

Five-star breakfast for those who enjoy home cooking and eat gravy. Service is the best. We plan our trips to have breakfast at Melita’s.

I used to love the Club Sandwich. It was put together right and had the best tasting bacon. But the last few visits have been downright disappointing. Management are you paying attention? The bread should be toasted but the bread was hard and chewey and had no browning like toasted bread has. It was hard and chewey. Fix the bread please. A week prior I had what was the worst pan fried breakfast ever. In fact, I didn’t eat it. It didn’t look good, the potatoes were burned on one side, hardly any cheese, little bit of meat bits were also burned, several big chunks of bacon that were soggy and almost uncooked(and the bacon used to be the best part). The whole dish looked like it had been picked at and then warmed up from the morning before. wtf? At this point I don’t know when or IF I’ll ever return to Melita’s. Once is a mistake but more than that is bad management or management that doesn’t care. Will this be fixed?

Melita’s is a typical diner. My husband’s cheeseburger and tots were pretty good. I had the fish and chips, which was a silly mistake on my part. I expected that they would be overly breaded bland fish, and I was right. I blame myself. I’d get the cheeseburger next time if we ever stop there again. They no longer make milkshakes, which was my husband’s cherished memory about the place.

I wish I could testify to the quality of the food, but I was seated and then never served. After 10 minutes of waiting for coffee in a near-empty restaurant, I left.

Went this morning for breakfast before heading out to Crater Lake. I was expecting greasy diner food and weak coffee and that’s exactly what I got. The portions were huge, and completely adequate. My husband and I appeared to be one of only two tables of non-locals. You could spot us by our REI/North Face attire. Everyone else was dressed in some form of camo and knew either the servers or the other patrons. The staff treated us warmly and the food delivered in a matter of minutes. Really, great service.

Been coming here for years and their food is very good but not necessarily exceptional. However, recently they added pizza to their menu and it is both great, massive in size and very well priced. Some of the best pizza in the Klamath Basin. Highly recommended!

Had lunch at Melita’s Café today while on the road to Alturas, CA. We both had burgers, which were excellent. One of us had the home cooked potatoes chips, and the other the home cut French fries. Excellent meal, and great service.

Friendly server(inspite of being very busy on a Sunday), with decent food. Had the«taco» for breakfast. Good quantity, but could use a little less cheese.
