I visited the tasting room for the first time this weekend and had a great time. The farm is back on a windy road in Chimacum. I think there’s something for everyone among these cider offerings ranging from dry and tart to bitter to semi sweet to sweet. My favorite products of Finnriver’s are their flavored brandies mixed with apple wine. They are so distinctive and delicious. The tasting is $ 5 per person and well worth it. I think we tasted about 8 ciders ranging from sparkling to dry to the brandy wine blends. My favorites are the Black Currant, Blueberry, and Pear brandy wines. The Sparkling Pear is also great. The woman running the tasting was very personable and friendly. The tasting room is open everyday from 12−5pm. I highly recommend this as a stop on your way somewhere else or even as part of a destination.

*i have not yet been on location* That being said I have tasted their Sparkling Pear cider and Sparkling Black Currant cider at an event(HopScotch/2013) and they were amazing! Not too sweet, not to tart, love the carbonation level. Not to mention the alcohol content is a little higher than your average cider ;) I’m planning to make a visit to their cidery this summer! Visit their website, lots of good info. They also list venues around the Seattle that sell their ciders!
