We were going to go to Duncan’s BBQ only to find it permanently closed. Benny’s is right next door so we thought we’d give it a try. Genny’s is a little small town diner-ish type of place. They offer a variety of dishes. Nothing fancy, some items very country. My hubs and I both opted for sandwiches. He ordered a hamburger that enjoyed. I ordered a flounder sandwich. I really like mine. The coleslaw is made in house so that was nice. Fries came with both. We also got a side of hush puppies. Oh and the tea was really nice. Service was friendly but if you are in a hurry, you might want to go some where else. They do offer outdoor seating when temps are above 60 degrees and the view is really great. Over all, an OK place to grab a bite but if you are looking for fancy or fresh well… And should you be in need of some Christian religion, you will fo sho get it here ;)

A must visit if you are ever at Chimney Rock, NC. We always make it at point to have lunch at Genny’s whenever we are in the area. One of my favorite places, family-owned restaurant and peaceful river view from the back patio. Good country food.

This is a new favor spot! Not perfect but very charming. The Hubs & I are planning to come here more often for a romantic evening to relax & enjoy these beautiful mountains! Great service, delicious food & the view of the river is wonderful.

They have pretty good Southern country cooking here. I had the vegetable plate which I thoroughly enjoyed, the mashed potatoes were outstanding. They have seafood, fried chicken and other choices as well. We sat on a nice deck overlooking the river, which was very scenic.
