Ribs are amazing!!! My daughter is normally a picky eater. She tried the ribs and loved them. :)

A hidden treasure! The flounder is fantastic! You would think you were at the ocean. The filet and ribs are very good as well. I will have to try their lasagna when it get cooler!

A co worker of mine was born and raised in China Grove and brought this city girl(me) to this hidden treasure! I’ve been hooked ever since! They keep everything simple but so tasty! Their whole flounder is to die for and you can’t get anything like it anywhere else! They only have three types of sides so don’t come expecting anything but onion rings, fries, or a baked potato! All their dressings are homemade and so yummy! Ranch is particularly my favorite! Their salmon, and sirloin chopped steak are my two other favorites! You can’t go wrong going to this restaurant!

Had the grilled shrimp and BBQ chicken. The shrimp was excellent, but the chicken was just so-so. I thought it was a little pricey. My husband had the flounder, and it was HUGE and delicious. Our service was fine. Probably won’t choose to how back simply because I’ve had better other places, but overall experience was fine.

You have GOT to try the lasagna! I would describe it as country Italian. For under $ 9 you get a huge portion of lasagna, salad with homemade dressing, and a cup of soup. Delicious!

Very upset. This place used to rock with a perfect Ribeye. The last piece of leather was very traumatic and upsetting to me. I really hope that this is an isolated incident as Stag n Doe has been a mainstay of that area for several years.

Do not let the«Dive Name» full you pretty good Eats. People wait in Line out side in the cold to get in… Go Figure. Went there for the first time wait was 40 minutes for a table. Got two Lasagna to go YUMmm. Prices good lots of food good service. Do not expect A Veg diet here… Just plain good food..

Best lasagna in town, $ 8.95 with soup and salad(homemade ranch is awesome)! Pizza is a little different but very good!(Try getting one uncooked to-go for a nice weekend meal later) Minestrone soup is delicious. Fresh, never frozen fish specials like whole Flounder(tail and all), Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi change weekly. I’ve heard the steak and burgers are great too, but I just can’t get away from the lasagna. Don’t let the«hole in the wall» look of the place fool you. Everything is great! There’s most always a line on Friday and Saturdays, sometimes even out the door between 6 and 7 or 8. Try going to the bar for first come first serve(the waitress in the bar area told us a story of people peering into the windows around 3 on a Saturday to see if they were open yet haha) If you want liquor you can bring your own! They sell limited options of beer and wine but brown bagging is okay here. Used to be a dry county :) Try different things until you find your fave, and you won’t regret it. Okay for smaller groups(6 or 8) but you will have to put your name on the list and most likely wait a while unless you go early. If you are going to a family gathering, try getting the Lasagna that feeds 8 – 10 for 20 bucks! Its very good

Definitely not the fanciest of places, but let’s face it — you aren’t looking for the fanciest of places, are you? I’m not sure what exactly brought us to dinner here except we happened to be in the area, so we stopped. Once inside, you find that you are looking around and wondering what made you stop in the first place. I think perhaps it is nostalgia, which is good because there may not be a whole lot of reasons to be there and the service isn’t always that fast so you might be thinking about it a while. Not everything on the menu is pizza, as you might have expected if you look at the sign, and if you do happen to order pizza, it isn’t the best you’ve ever tasted — but it’ll do in a pinch.
