OMG! I’ve been looking for a hair dresser who actually knows how to handle curly hair and I finally found a keeper! For years I’ve tried to find stylists and was always unlucky. Not anymore… I was saved when I found Doreen on Unilocal.Not only does she know how to style/​cut/​dye curly hair but she can also give you curly hair via a perm! Trust me when I say, Doreen is the best stylists when it comes to curly hair! Thank you Doreen again & can’t wait till I see you at my next hair appoinment! ;D

I was so excited to finally find someone who could really understand my hair — I have super curly ringlets but the top of my hair is going straight! A nightmare! My first cut with Doreen was great. I went back to get the top part of my hair permed to match the bottom. Not only did the perm not take, Doreen did not wash the perm solution out properly and I smelled like perm solution for months. Then to make matters worse while I was sitting in her chair with the perm solution on she made a negative comment about lesbians. Little did she know I’m one of those bad lesbians! Once she was done I told her how inappropriate the comment was and she just smiled and hugged me like 1000 times saying how close to me she felt.
Nah. I don’t think so.

I’ve been cutting my own curly hair for a while now because of bad past experiences. But my hair was looking uneven and misshaped so I had to find someone. I did some searching and found Doreen. I set an appointment and was greatly relieved to find she is the real deal on curly hair. She was able to fix my mess and give me some great tips on how to maintain it. It’s really hard to find a stylist who actually knows how to cut curly hair. Every stylist says they can cut curly hair, but we have all had that experience and horror in finding out they cannot. Glad I found Doreen. I will definitely be sticking with her from now on.

I went to Doreen yesterday for the first time. First encounters with new hairdressers are always a little scary for me. I am a curly girl with far too many bad hair days. In fact, I always say that I don’t have bad hair days, I have had a bad hair life! Well I think Doreen has changed that. I walked out of the salon with beautiful full curls. Doreen showed me how to recreate the look at home suggesting an easy and inexpensive solution. If you have curly hair, call Doreen. You will be very very happy!
