Supercuts

I stopped by today as a walk-​in because the girl I usually go to for my highlights at another salon was on vacation. Melissa did my highlights and I must say she did a great job! I was a little nervous at first because I’ve never been to a Supercuts before but I’m definitely happy with the results. She explained everything clearly and was always checking if I was okay every step of the way. She was very approachable and easy to talk to. I’ll definitely be coming back again! Awesome job Melissa!

I had a bad experience at the Super Cuts Salon in Chino Hills. I asked for highlights and wanted to darken the brown. What came out was I had dark brown hair. My husband hated it. They asked me to come back the next day to fix. They tried to take out the brown and then added more blonde highlights. Then they proceeded to add a toner that burned my scalp. The end result was better but still too much brown. When I came home I noticed big red splotches on my scalp. These all proceeded to scab over and I now have giant flakes and horrible itching. Stylist was Melissa. She is very nice and truly wanted this to work but may be inexperienced. My bad as I should not trust hair coloring by Super Cuts that probably employs straight out of school.

I have walked into this place numerous amounts of times to trim my under shaved hair.
I have almost always gotten the same person, till this last time. I see shaving what is already shaved as a simple task. This lady not only achieved in making the crookedest line at the bottom, I was grabbing globs of hair out of my head for the next 20 minutes afterwards! I guess she decided i should shave a little more off. I almost cried there was so much hair coming out.
Inevitably I went straight to a more expensive salon where I normally go for my full hair, in which these girls were mortified as to why somebody would shave my hair like this.
My advice would be stick with who you know to cut your hair here.

I have thick long hair that was in dire need of a trim and some style. I was skeptical of coming to SuperCuts but wanted to save money and wanted the availability of a walk-​in. I have to say, Melissa did a wonderful job on my hair (thank you, Melissa!). I was able to keep the length, but took off some weight by giving my hair layers. She explain the process through out and offered great advice for keeping my hair healthy & looking good. I will definitely be returning.

Okay, I get it. People that cut hair at these places aren’t the greatest otherwise they would work at a real salon where the money is. That being said, I’m done here. It’s always the same. People don’t follow instruction.
Tonight, I bit my tongue because I didn’t want to make the woman cry. I probably should have let loose. When one says, «trim», it means trim. Not run clippers everywhere. Also, who the hell runs clippers over somebody’s eyebrows without asking??? The woman cutting my hair never STFU. The entire time, blabbing and blabbing about her kids and family. I don’t care! If you can’t shut up to hear instruction, you deserve to be working at Supercuts. This «stylist» and I use that term extremely lightly asked THREE times «square or rounded». I assume she didn’t hear me answer the first two times because she couldn’t close her trap.
If you’re in Chino Hills, you must AVOID Supercuts at all costs. Try Pro Clips or Sport Clips if you must get a quick cheap cut in the area. Supercuts Chino Hills is filled with incompetent hausfraus without a clue. The one in Chino on Central is a little better.

Bad service by girl name heather there. I walked in at 615 pm on Saturday. She did a horrible job cutting my hair. She cut more than I told her to. She cut them to short. She looked like she was rushing because they close at 700 pm.

I absolutely love scarlet! She’s the best!!. I had my hair cut elsewhere and my hair cut was not quite the way I wanted. I went to see scarlet and she fixed my hair! ! NOW I CAN COMB MY HAIR AND IT LOOKS FABULOUS! :)

I’ve gone here a handful of times.
My hair is long with bangs and simple to cut. I mostly come here for trims, nothing drastic. I’ve had good haircuts from all the people that work here.
I just had a not-​so-​pleasant lady that was beyond condescending work on my hair once. I’m good about getting my hair trimmed regularly, minimally take heat to it, have never dyed it.
This is how the conversation with her went:
Lady: How much did you want it cut?
Me: About an inch.
Lady: Oh, really? An inch isn’t going to take care of your dead ends, how about 6?
(My thoughts: How about you do what I ask because I’m paying you? And no way in hell do I have 6 inches of damaged effed up hair).
Lady: Oh honey, do you know what heat protectant is?
Me: Yes, I have the Garnier Fructis one.
Lady: Oh, well, there’s no point in just buying it to keep on your dresser.
(My thoughts: RUDE and presumptuous because I do use it.)
Lady: Did you know your bangs grow unevenly?
(My thoughts: Did you know that I don’t give a shit?)
Really though, avoid the fat chick with Barney purple tipped hair (I think they’re hot pink now). She really doesn’t know when to STFU. Otherwise, haircuts are good here.

*Let me start off by giving a little background. I had a pixie cut about a year ago and i’ve been growing it out ever since. I’ve been bleaching it for that whole year so it’s very damaged and brittle. At home, I use deep conditioner at least once a week, bathe it in coconut oil every other night, and use leave in conditioner and dry oil after every shower. I comb it with a wide tooth comb very very gently and then usually let it air dry. Basically, I try to take really good care of it and am very careful when styling it.*
I was really only looking to get my hair trimmed a little and evened out, so I figured I would save money by going to Supercuts instead of paying $ 55+ at a higher end salon. The place was very clean and modern looking and easy to check in. I only had to wait about 10 minutes which was great. My stylist was very nice and we had good conversation throughout the whole process. But that’s really where the positivity stops.
I wanted a shampoo as well as blow dry/​style so I could go straight to work after. This brought my total to $ 42 which isn’t much cheaper than other salons, but I was being optimistic and thinking it would look great. I showed pictures of what I wanted and explained that I’m growing it out. She took me back to shampoo me and she didn’t even shampoo my whole head. I understand that my hair is short, but she really only shampooed the crown of my head. To be fair, I know my hair has a lot of damage, but she cut off WAY more than I wanted. I now have a shaggy pixie cut, which is not even close to what I wanted. She cut off almost 3 inches around my face. However, the cut is not my main complaint. She asked which side I part it on, I said I do both just depending on the day, so she cut it parted down the middle. That was fine, but then when she «styled» it, she kept it parted down the middle. She didn’t even ask me how I wanted it styled. She put some product in and blow dried it a little. She used a very hard brush to sort of curl it (?) while continuing to blow dry. I know she was breaking a lot of my hair because it’s so brittle, she wasn’t being careful at all. Then, with my hair still damp and parted down the middle, she sprayed hairspray on it and said it would help the ends to not flip out.
I ended up tipping (I need to grow a backbone and not tip for services I don’t like) and my total came out to $ 52. I should’ve just taken that money and went to a better salon that wouldn’t have let me walk out looking the way I did. I left there, immediately put my hat on, and had to go home and wash and style it myself. This place might be ok if your hair is long and you just want a trim, but otherwise, take your money elsewhere.

Called, and asked if they can cut my extensions and they said no. They do don’t cut or handle anything that has to do with extensions. Hair is hair so not sure why they wouldn’t take my service just lost a client and some money.
Thought you ladies should know in case you needed your extensions cut.

Went in later at night, had fast service, and giving a pretty vague description, the girl knew what I wanted done to my hair. I was quite satisfied. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I haven’t been back yet to check for consistency, but I will be.

Great job, timely and polite. I got the keratin treatment that I always love, trim was great (took a little much but I probably needed it and am just in denial…) and Anna offered great suggestions after asking me about my hairs usual care. Will return :)

I absolutely love coming to this SuperCuts! The place is very clean, it’s very organized, the workers there are extremely professional –my favorite stylist Heather is absolutely wonderful she has been taking care of me for awhile and I love going to her! This is easily one of the best Supercuts I have ever been to and I highly recommend them!

Worst service ever. 2 people on a Saturday. Nobody told me when I walked in that there were 5 people ahead of me no in the store. Had to find the sign in sheet myself. One by one everyone went in front of me. Then after waiting an hour I decide to leave and the girl has the nerve to ask me if Im leaving so she can let others know when she didn’t bother to let me know. Unbelievable waste of time. Never going back.

I came here on a whim because I was desperate for a bang trim. They don’t take appointments, only walk-​ins. The wait wasn’t that bad, only took 20 mins today. You can call ahead and have them put your name down.
I’ve never been to a Super Cuts before but it’s quick and inexpensive if you’re here for something simple like a bang trim. I usually get my hair cuts at Ulta which run around $ 70 or more, but here it’s only $ 16.50 (without shampoo). With shampoo, it’s $ 20.
Am I happy with my freshly trimmed bangs? Yep! Can’t really complain for $ 10 lol.

Found this place while walking around the plaza and I thought it would be the perfect time to get my hair fixed (the last salon I went to didn’t do too much of a good job on layering my hair).
I came in and immediately I was greeted warmly by the employees. Scarlet came up to me and asked me what I wanted done, so I told her my situation. When I asked her how much it’d cost me, she kindly said she’ll fix my hair for free! She was so kind and friendly throughout the entire time I was there, and now my hair looks so much better. I was not expecting that kind of customer service from them. Thank you Scarlet!
