The Pub offers great food and libations at reasonable and competitive prices. The staff is friendly and customer focused. During football season, happy hour prices are in effect during games. If you’re looking to treat yourself, give The Pub a try.

After work little after 10pm we decided to try somewhere different and I’m glad we came here. When we first walked in we got seated right away and order some drinks and appetizer. They had spinach dip came with toasted bread and it was something different from other place I ate before but it was really good. My wife orders a mix strawberry margarita on ice and I had a blue moon draft and patron on the rock and the drinks were perfect! My wife mix drink was sweet had little kick on liquor but not too much and my patron was smooth not water down like some other place. For our meal my wife had salmon and I had BBQ short rib(look like Korean BBQ). I thought salmon was little over cooked but wife loved it and that’s all it matter and I loved my Korean BBQ. It’s season little different but it was good. Our server Sarah was very pleasant and attentive to our needs during our visit. Thank you very much and we will be back. Far as price range I thought it was going to be really expensive but it’s pretty competitive with restaurants like yard house or BJ.

Love the location. Very conveniently located. Food has gone down hill. Service is poor. Took forever to get served out first round of drinks… Didn’t order a second. Food was under prepared. Chris the manager lacks any personality and seems uninterested in how things went. Never stopped by and when he happened by to help the waitress, he didn’t ask how things went! When the Pub first opened, I loved the burger. Those days are gone. Three different visits and each time the burger was under cooked only to be over cooked when it went back. I don’t order it anymore. I keep giving this place a chance and it keeps letting me down. Aside from Chris, the staff are great, remember us and make us feel welcome. The owners need to re-engage and get this place pointed in the right direction.

So I made a To Go order I got there 15 min after I called. I ended up waiting a half an hour for my meal. I ordered there steak RAREwith fingerling potatoes. When I got home I opened the food and there was only 3 tiny potatoes that hadn’t been seasoned with anything! So bland and my steak definitely was not rare, not even medium rare! Its medium for sure. I just payed over $ 30 for this bland food that took forever. So pissed

I rarely give 5 stars, but I love this place! Everything I have had is delicious. I lean more towards their signature dishes and burgers. The service has always been wonderful as well.

Ok so I tried this place again after 2yrs. It’s slightly better than before but probably due to the Lunchbox band playing while we eat. Tried the nachos and they were pretty good but I asked with chicken and got none. Potato chips instead of tortilla chips were unique but the processed cheese was… too cheesy. Kids Pizza was fresh and hot but slightly too toasty only ate half. Overall. Good flavor and great drinks. I’m sure to come back for the live music. Had a coke, kids pizza with fries and nachos and a Moscow mule. Expected check to be about $ 4 – 5 less. Total check was $ 39 with an automatic 18% tip which I thought was not earned.

The service isn’t always on point here, but what I love is their diverse menu and free popcorn. I have ordered about half the items here and they were all delicious. Gumbo — big portion. Be careful with their tabasco sauce cuz the dispenser thing they put it in, it POURS out Stout braised short ribs — the portion is a little small but delicious Chicken nachos — these are bomb cuz they use ruffles chips instead of regular chips Poutine — this is ok. I say ok because it was a little bland and the chef guy forgot the gravy so they had to bring it out separately Fried pork belly bites — a little greasy but sooooo tasty. Lightly salted with a great crunch Chicken wings — I had the glazed honey sriracha and Asian style bbq and both sauces were savory Kobe beef burger — on point Pub burger — classic burger Some Korean pork burger — I forgot what it was called but it was sooooo salty. I couldn’t finish it. Maybe that’s why it’s not on the menu anymore. Steak and eggs(brunch) — super tiny and not worth the price but delicious Bottomless mimosas — enough said

WOW. The WORST Happy Hour food I have ever had. EVER. Most definitely will NOT come back. Arrived Friday at 5:30pm and ordered off their HH menu: mini monster burger, chicken wings, calamari, and the trio sampler. The chicken, seafood, burger meat, and pork belly ALLCAMEOUTDRY. Like, pull your front teeth out dry. Like, overmicrowaved your food at home DRY. Like, drier than a Q tip dry. And oddly, the Fried zucchinis were LIMP. Waited over 30 minutes despite it not being busy. Our server made minimal eye contact but did refill my diet coke once without being asked. +1 point for her. Anyway. Gross. And I’m not even a picky eater.

So I wanted to grab a drink after work and had driven past this on my way to the dog park so I decided to stop by. Décor is cool and free popcorn to munch on… that’s about the best highlight I can give, unfortunately. Food is WAAAAAYYYY too overpriced — dude, ramen for $ 15.99 without the soft boiled egg does not make sense. I ordered the chicken wings and being born and raised in the south, I can only say that these suck. I even asked for all the flavors just to try it out and it was not good. My boyfriend ordered the house salad and it had way too much dressing that it was actually too sour. When it came to beer, I felt like our server really did not understand the beer menu. My boyfriend requested recommendations that weren’t too hoppy and ¾ of our beer flight was exactly that. It’s like they tried to make it some high class bar with the gourmet menu(that had absolutely no running theme) and the live music(homeboy only has one speaker and his MacBook). Crowd is a bit older too(which I liked). Eh, I probably won’t come back.

After my review of my first visit on ½/16 since YEE back in August 2015, I was contacted by Andrew F, owner of The Pub at Chino Hills. He wanted to invite me to return for a meal on the house. I was surprised at their earnest reply and their wanting to provide exceptional dining service. Shortly after, I was contact by Chris, another owner, to return and try a few of the new items on the menu that came out that week. We were treated to not just a meal, but a feast! We were only expecting 2 – 3 total dishes but they rolled out the red carpet for us. We were served 3 appetizers and 3 entrees. We arrived a little earlier than our appointed time, but Chris came out of the kitchen right away to greet us. Popcorn Drizzled with Duck Fat is always served first while looking at the menu. 3 appetizers(numbered from favorite to least favorite) 1. Wild Boar Quesadilla Slow cooked and shredded wild boar, gouda and mozzarella cheese, with a pineapple habanero salsa. 2. Duck Chorizo Chilaquiles Fried tortillas in a red sauce with our house made duck chorizo. Topped with jack cheese, avocado, and a fried egg. 3. Asian BBQ Short Ribs Grilled thin sliced short ribs marinated in our Asian BBQ Sauce. Served with white rice and sambal sauce. The Wild Boar Quesadilla was delicious, and the meat literally just melted in our mouths. All the ingredients went well together. The quesadillas can be eaten by itself, with or without the pineapple habanero salsa. Since I am allergic to raw pineapple, I did not eat it with the salsa. The salsa did look very fresh, and very finely chopped. Very colorful. My mom, however, loved the salsa and even added it onto a few bites of the chilaquiles! The Duck Chorizo Chilaquiles was also very delicious! The crunchiness of each tortilla layer was wonderful with each bite. All the ingredients were very fresh. The Asian BBQ Short Ribs was just okay. I do not know why they keep trying to add Korean food onto their menu but I guess that is what they want continue doing. For $ 11.99, one gets only 2 pieces of kalbi, which is a tad over burnt(carcinogens), soggy white rice topped with very, very salty vegetables(and vinegar) and too much sauce on the rice. Most Asian restaurants, give at least 3 pieces of meat, not 2. Even for this price, one could go eat AYCE Korean BBQ and it be cheaper and better tasting. Their marinade is good, just a tad overly sweet. 3 entrees(numbered from favorite to least favorite) 1. Curry Chicken Salad Grilled chicken, mixed greens, mango, apples, raisin, almonds & curry vinaigrette 2. Kobe Beef Burger Open faced on a ciabatta bread, aged white cheddar, sauteed spinach & onions with a garlic aioli. Served with fried onion rings. 3. Chicken Pancetta Meatloaf Ground chicken and pancetta with minced onions & sundried tomatoes with a savory tomato glaze. Served with mashed potatoes & seasonal vegetables. I do not tend to order salads at restaurants but the Curry Chicken Salad is one that I will most definitely come back for. The presentation is symmetrical and the flavors, wonderful! All of the crispy apple slices have been dipped into the curry vinaigrette and it most definitely enhances the salad. The dipped apple slices really bring an added element to the salad. The grilled chicken was not dry and was cut into perfect slices. The freshness of the mixed greens, mango slices, raisins, and etc on the dish makes one want to continue to eat and eat. It is just that good! The fried onion rings had the perfect outer layer of batter. Instead of the heavily breaded batter, it was a light, almost tempura-like batter. It doesn’t take away from the onion flavor, but is an added complement. The Kobe Beef Burger was wonderful. Since it is open faced, it requires a fork and knife to eat. Overall, I did enjoy the flavors, but it tended to be on the heavy side for me. Lots of oil grease showed on the toppings and also on the décor newspaper tissue under the burger. Chris mentioned that the Chicken Pancetta Meatloaf was not a new dish on the menu but in fact, was an item that was brought back onto the menu because of its popularity. Personally, the chicken pancetta meatloaf was too dry for me. Due to it being ground chicken, I would’ve thought so but hoped that the pancetta would level out the dryness but it didn’t. To me, this dish was also for people with an acquired taste. I do have to say, The Pub at Chino Hills introduces us to many different varieties or takes on food that we eat. I love their innovative takes on traditional foods and reinvents them, but something that they need to take away is that the food also needs to taste delicious. Presentation and words on a menu may look wonderful but it also needs to transcend onto our taste buds and our senses. Overall, this was a vast improvement from our last visit. Some food are still overly salty, but that may just be the American way.

The owner of the restaurant reached out to me and invited me back to the restaurant. I replied immediately accepting the offer. He said he will send an email to me the next day about details and it has been more than one week and I did not receive any email from him. This tells me how disappointing the service and management is.

I’m pretty sad to give this place such a bad review because I have been here before and I enjoyed everything I had. I came on a Saturday night with my GF and the place was pretty empty. We got greeted and seated right away at one of the high tables. As soon as we sat down, we got served their Duck Fat Popcorn which unfortunately was the best thing we had that night. Gambas la Plancha — Peel & eat head on shrimp, garlic butter and preserved lemon: Where to start? Have you guys watched Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsay? If so, this dish could be featured. The dish was disappointing and possibly one of the worse things I’ve eaten recently. The shrimp was definitely not fresh. The color was translucent on the inside and the texture was very mushy. The heads and meat had some black spots for some reason too. Definitely one of the most unappetizing dishes ever. If you check the photos I uploaded, the dish itself looks sad. Sad looking dish Poutine –French fries topped with braised short rib, gravy and cheese curd: This appetizer was at least edible. Not sure why they call it Poutine when there is barely any gravy and no cheese curds even though the menu says there are cheese curds. The gravy was so thick it got stuck in the top fries and nothing else — the bottom fries were plain. Since there was no cheese curds for whatever reason, they melted some other kind of cheese on top that again, got stuck on the top fries and nothing else. The braised short rib was okay — some pieces were dry and others were tender. White Lasagna –Layers of fresh pasta sheets, wild mushrooms, duck confit, herbed mascarpone cheese, and parmesan bechemel sauce. Topped with truffle oil: This was a hot mess. Not sure what they were thinking, but the presentation and the dish itself was not visually appealing. It was like a piece of white turd surrounded by oil. I wasn’t able to taste any of the ingredients since the white cheese sauce was so overpowering. No duck confit flavor, no truffle flavor, no nothing. I was very disappointed with the food. I brought my GF here too because I had their food in the past and it was good. Service was kind and friendly.

Been here many times,(always forget to check in). Love the feeling of this restaurant. It’s so cozy, the patio area outside is relaxing. Service is great. The water they serve is in a bottle and cold. Love it! The food, well, I’ve only had the salads so far. For the past 6 visits, it’s been salad! Wait, I did have their bacon clam chowder. OMG… that was amazing!!!

Got a chance to check out this pub during a food and drink event. Cool vibe, live music, cold beers, and great tasting food! What else do you need? We had the opportunity to taste a variety of offerings from fried pork bellies, cauliflower ceviche, pasta dishes, a creative take on the classic Patty Melt, and delectable desserts. Great beer selections along with a rotating tap, and a full bar are available. And the rocking live band to keep the party going! If you’re in Chino Hills, the Pub at CH is definitely worth checking out.

Here this evening for a foodie event with a bunch of friends. What a great place! Very family friendly. Started off with a trio of pork belly, laoashin jerky and cauliflower ceviche. What a great trio. The pork belly was fried to perfection. The jerky had a sweet spicy taste and the cauliflower ceviche had a perfect hint of lime. Next was pasta with and in creamy sauce, duck confit pasta and pork loin with mushrooms. Nicely seasoned. Not overpowering at all. Lastly, the cookie sandwich, flourless chocolate cake and salted Carmel cheesecake. All were not too sweet and matched perfectly with coffee. Great place for gatherings or just to hang out.
