YEE: Smashburger

Awesome, friendly, and attentive staff! Located just a few doors down from dripp café. Located near in ‘the shoppes’. Truffle mushroom swiss definitely yum. Salted caramel shake was definitely something I could never forget. Not a fan of the buffalo bleu cheese chicken but it’ll do. The fries are top notch, thinly sliced and delightful. The fried pickles were a bit of a disappoint since they were super salty but it may have just been a bad batch. I hope next time I order that they are perfectly balanced. Overall I had a great time and the staff were super educational about their items. Absolutely a must try! Better than five guys ;)

With this being my first Official Unilocal Event (I was pretty stoked), I didn’t know what to expect. I arrived at a few minutes after start time and checked in with Jessica H. (By the way Thank you Jessica H., SmashBurger, and Unilocal for the event). Promptly after I took a seat at a table and I started to enjoy the starters. Smash fries (mixed with olive oil, garlic, and rosemary), regular fries, sweet potato fries, and fried pickles. My favorite out all of them would be the Smash fries; they just had this amazing taste. The sweet potato fries weren’t bad if you’re a fan of them. The regular fries and fried pickles were okay.
15 minutes from the start time, the event officially started by a member of their corporate office. They shared the story behind Smashburger and introduced all the members present.
The kitchen pushed out seven burgers, out of the seven these were my favorite: The Classic, BBQ Bacon and Cheddar, So Cal, Chicken Sandwich. I will definitely order one of these when I return. The other three were okay, but I will pass on them.
The Classic– Had pretty much everything a regular burger offers, but I think the bun and meat set this bad boy apart.
BBQ Bacon and Cheddar — What makes this guy different would be the nice thick Applewood smoked bacon, the BBQ sauce, and the bun
So Cal — The blend of all the ingredients made it tasty.
Chicken Sandwich– The chicken was just right; not too dry nor too seasoned
After all this madness was done, they brought out Chocolate, Salted Caramel, and Oreo shakes. They were all good, I will say the Salted Caramel is a lot better here than other places I’ve it.
Overall, this was a great experience. Meet some cool Unilocal buddies.
I will be returning to Smashburger to try my favorite items from this event and venture out to other items on the menu.
