Started going there in 1996 — my former classmate Vanessa who works there now is amazingly talented.

I came here with my coworker because we had to catch a flight for our business trip and I really had to get my eyebrows done. I suggested that I will go drive to my eyebrow lady in Corona and be back by the time we have to leave for the airport but she insisted to bring me here because she loves coming here for her eyebrows and the service is really good. Majority of the time I don’t like to change my eyebrow places — more like 99% of the time because this place will be that 1% exception.
She called in an hour before we were planning to head there and asked if the lady she goes to is available during the specific time and would prefer to be seen by her only. It is very easy to locate, it has its own private lot so parking is not a problem. It is close to the Pieology. As soon as we entered we let the receptionist know that we were here. They have few seats available to seat and a wide variety of magazines to read during that time. Since I was afraid to try anyone new I let her know to only clean the area around my eyebrows instead of ruining the shape but she made the end of my eyebrows lot thinner than I prefer them to be at. When I was at the counter to pay for my services the receptionist asked me whether I would like to leave a tip. I have never heard of anyone asking to leave a tip for the eyebrow service, that was definitely odd. My coworker told me that she leaves a tip every alternate time she come, I told her that personally I wouldn’t leave a tip and the place I go to has $ 3 eyebrows on Tuesdays & Wednesday!

If you need beautifully done nails go to Kristy! She’s been doing my nails got quite some time now and I have never been disappointed by her. She always has a large array of colors to choose from, is always on time, and has high quality supplies. It seriously amazes me how quickly, yet efficiently she gets the job done. She can fill up on reservations quite fast, but she does her best to try and accommodate you!

I heard about this great manicurist name Kristy at this salon. I got my nails done by her several times and I always got compliments. However any time you have to cancel or are running late, Kristy becomes extremely unprofessional. It is understandable that she keeps a busy schedule however, other people have lives too and stuff happens. Kristy lost my business today with her rudeness and unprofessional behavior and I will never refer anyone to her ever again.

I was in desperate need of a haircut and decided to check out the Curling Iron, since it’s a few minutes from my work and had decent reviews. I walked in and asked if anyone was available, and Bobbie Happily took me on.
She let me know in advanced that she had a client coming in half an hr and wouldn’t be able to blow dry my hair, just wash and cut. Not a problem for me; if anything it proves she cares for her appointments and walk ins alike, and is considerate and thoughtful of both.
Bobbie was quick, thorough, and incredibly friendly. We made easy conversation and she made sure I felt at ease and confident in her hands. I really enjoyed my experience, and my hair looks and feels great! Bonus: she only charged me $ 25 for the wash and cut, since she didn’t have time to style it.
I recommend Bobbie at the Curling Iron for anyone who is in the area and needs their hurrrr did!

This review is for My, one of the manicurists. I have been a client of My’s for 18 years. I started going to her back when she worked at Linda’s Hair and Nails in Chino Hills (which became Shear Joy for awhile). She has been doing fiberglass wraps on my nails the whole time and I love them! I only have to do fills every 3 weeks because they are so good (from time to time I’ve gone 4 weeks without a fill). Although I moved from Chino Hills to Anaheim Hills and now Cerritos I still make the drive to My to have my nails done. She’s that good. I’ve also met other clients of her’s that have been coming to her for 20+ years so I’m not the only one. She is also a very nice and pleasant person and will work with you to squeeze you in when there’s an emergency. She is the best!

Beautiful salon! Extremely friendly stylists. Each rents their own station and does their own style of work. Maricela is AMAZING with coloring and cutting layers especially! She’s great with both mens and womens haircuts. She is meticulous and very patient. She makes sure she gets it just right. I love here friendly smile and positivity. The prices are a bit higher but worth every penny. They sell tons of products as well and have manicure stations too. Definitely worth checking out! Also surrounded by a huge shopping center you can shop or grab a bite. Excellent location, make a day of it!

If you’re a blonde, do NOT come here. I went a few years ago and asked for my highlights to be touched up, and just a trim. The ‘stylist’ bleached my entire head. I had hair that was to my hips, and I had just gotten a trim about 6 months prior from another salon so the ends weren’t that dead… this lady cut my hair to my shoulders. I looked like Draco Malfoy from Harry potter. I cried all night & used a box of dye which I had never done before, and it looked better than what she did to it. Traumatic hair experience. I get irritated even driving by their salon.

Went on a Sunday afternoon. The receptionist was painting her nails at the desk. No one was in the waiting room and it seemed quiet. I asked about a haircut then asked if someone could help me that day. The receptionist went to the back then came back out. I was told that there were no openings. Again, I heard no one speaking. I guess it was just rude of me to interrupt her manicure. Very poor customer service!

I went to The Curling Iron for the first time after finding them thru Unilocal.What a stroke of good luck! I had my hair cut by Patricia Beltran. She gave me some good advice on how to cut my hair then proceeded to give me a great haircut that I really like. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. I’m so glad I found her and will now become a regular customer.

I gave it this rating because it is way overdue. I have been a client for about 15 years. Her name is Bobbie Russo. When Bobbie is not there, there is Janice Thompson. Laurie is at the front desk. She is amazing and sweet. I don’t buy any products except when she is working M-​F.
Bobbie knows my hair so well. What color would look good on me to make that gradual change. Her prices are reasonable.
Curling Iron has a cozy atmosphere. I enjoy going and being part of the family.

I go to the Curling Iron to see Jessica Wenig and have never been disappointed. The salon has a great feel, very open and not crowded, fun «old-​fashioned,» nice and clean feel to the décor. I would highly recommend Jessica for both cut and color. She will definitely meet your requests!

It was my first time at The Curling Iron II, I loved the ambiance, the salon is huge and pretty, the ladies behind the counter were very kind and welcoming. My stylist was the lovely Leticia, she took care of the mess, I called hair until yesterday, she gave me a gorgeous, edgy, sexy look, recreating the style in the reference picture, I showed her to the very last strand! She asked me several times during the cut to show her pic again and again, so she can be sure, she’s doing exactly, what I wanted! Best hair stylist, I’ve ever been taken care of by! Thank you so much, you just got yourself a regular!

This place is beautiful and huge! They do everything here. Hair, nails, you name it, they probably do it. I was referred to Jane by a friend and she’s amazing! I had her pull 10 years of black out of my hair and I love the results! My hair feels beautiful and healthy as if I didn’t spend hours getting it bleached. I’m definitely come here from now on!

Salon is large and clean. They have a huge variety of products for sale. The stylists all run their own business and have their own prices. I met Jessica Wenig recently for a cut, and I love the result; she cut it exactly like I described. Great overall experience!

I will never go there again.

Let me start by saying that I already have a hairstylist that does great work on my hair. However, Dalaina used to do my hair when she was at FS and I really loved her. I lost touch with her for a while, but when I found out that she was at the Curling Iron I was on board! Dalaina still does great hair and she’s always a blast to talk to. I love her energy and honesty. You can tell that she really enjoys her job.
Now for the Curling Iron… LOVE IT! The atmosphere is so classy and everyone is super friendly; even the clients. You kinda feel like you are in one of those kind of salons where everyone can talk and gossip and have a good time. The only thing that is a pain is parking because the center is a bustling place, but that is easily overlooked. The location is awesome because there is a JJ Bakery next door and a Señor Baja next to that.
I am sold! I LOVE THE CURLING IRON and Dalaina, of course! I can’t wait to go back!

I went there with the recommendation of my friend to get Brazilian blowout done. I could not be happier with the result of blowout AND the haircut.
Let’s just say: I live in the city of Downey… and I now drive ALL THE WAY to Chino to get my hair done, because it’s so worth it. Candice is the stylist I see and I have never been this happy with my hair before, she’s an artist. She loves her profession and takes passion and joy in it, as she should because she’s an amazing stylist! No other stylists cared enough about quality and look of my hair as she has. She pays attention to what you have to say and is very professional while so friendly and nice. I started getting many compliments on my hair from friends (how healthy it looks, pretty, celebrity-like.etc) since Candice started doing my hair, and my friends sure know how ‘average’ my hair used to be. I don’t color my hair ever but my friend got her hair colored with Candice, and it looks absolutely fantastic.
I finally found the stylist I’d stick around for the first time in my life. Even though this place is so far for me, but i don’t care. :D
PS: For the record, I never met Candice til I got my hair done at Curling Iron.

Okay so I’m giving them such a low score based on an experience i had 2 years ago. Getting the appointment was easy. I really wish i could remember the name of the lady that did my hair, this would be so much more helpful. I went in for an all over dark color and a hair cut. The cut was fine but when she did my color she stained my face! I had dark spots all along my hair line and by my chin. Yeah that was not pretty. In addition to my bad color i had to listen to the lady talk about religion (very inappropriate).

If you’re looking for the absolute best aesthetician to do a facial, waxing or permanent makeup, ask for Sylvia.
The woman knows her stuff and once you are in her capable hands, she creates a soothing and relaxing atmosphere while she pampers you. I’ve been going to her for years and cannot say enough about how professional and courteous she is. She takes pride in her work and it shows!!!
You will NOT be sorry…
