A great stop! I personally know the owners and they are great people who really strive to better the community! They carry high quality ice cream and the atmosphere is nice. The owners are almost always around to converse with their customers.

Preface: I noticed that Syracuse residents don’t Unilocal.And I don’t blame them. There’s not much in Syracuse to get too excited about. So, I’m gearing all my Syracuse Unilocal reviews food reviews toward other visitors of the city who are looking for dining options
This ice cream stand is located just after you pass through the main street in Chittenango (the birthplace of the guy who wrote Wizard of Oz). We stopped for ice cream because it looked like a cute place. They have Hersheys ice cream (which I had never tried before) and advertise 24 flavors of soft serve. I had a scoop of cookies and cream which didn’t taste different from generic Dreyers. It must be early in ice cream season because my ice cream had lots of ice chunks in it and it tasted kind of old. The cone was also a little stale. The ice cream itself really only deserves 2 stars but maybe later in the season when there’s more business, everything is fresher and better (I was getting ice cream on a snowy May day), and I like to try to support small, local businesses. There’s only outdoor seating that’s only appropriate for good weather. If for some reason I end up in that area again and the weather is warm, I might try one of their many flavors of soft serve.
