Friendly staff, Friendly owner, great portions for a reasonable price. A little place out in the country that does comfort food right. Friday night catfish night is where its at. I will stop back in whenever I have the chance.

Friendly people, good home cooked comfort food. With all the fast food boxes out there, we forget that cooked as ordered food actually comes out hot and juicy. I would return.

With a name like that, I was expecting a hill billy place and being out in the country, it didn’t disappoint.
I ordered the meatloaf and it was very moist and delicious. In my opinion it is hard to get good meatloaf and they did it right. The mashed potatoes weren’t exactly the highlight, but the white texas toast was delicious as well. The green beans were steamed green beans without the bacon, which I actually prefer.
There is plenty of food to fill you up and it is quite reasonably prices in my opnion. The chicken fried steak, like in most country food joints is huge.
The chocolate cream pie was pretty good, not Pie Junkie good, but at ½ the price, I couldn’t complain. The blackcurrent cobbler w/​ice cream was a taste explosion in your mouth.
The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. On my longer lunches, I will come back here and indulge in other non-​fried items (which may be hard to find in this joint).

Ok, Bandana Reds is our local café and it does have some really high points. The problem is that it is inconsistent. The service is either A+ or D-​. The food has always been a favorite, except the catfish was a disappointment one trip and we have been afraid to try again. Most people still love it, but our experience was not excellent.
The pies are great as is the breakfast. Give them a try and dont give up if you have one less than stellar experience.

Bandana Reds sits out in Choctaw, Oklahoma basically by itself, and for a café, it is in a league of it’s own. If you are wanting a quiet Monday– Saturday eating venue then Bandana Reds is your spot! However, on Friday nights in the summer time this place is hopping like no other with live concerts in the parking lot with some really good bands. Their trademarked «Catfish Fridays» provides great food with great entertainment to put a smile on anyone’s face! I love the food and the atmosphere! I would recommend this place to anyone!
