It’s about time Choctaw got a quality BBQ place. Great food, prices and service. The ribs are the highlight and the Earl Campbell hot links are amazing! Keep on smokin’ Simmons!

This place gets an extra star because my chicken sandwich was warm, hooray! Everything was both tasty and delicious — no complaints!

Can’t post less than one star… count the one star as a dim star dying far away in the universe. There is no way I will ever eat here again under the current management or staff. The one thing I’ll say is that they run a good racket. I have never been so overcharged for such poor service and such a small amount of food in my life. I don’t see how a sample sized cup half full of green beans is ever going to be worth $ 1.25. My order was taken initially and all seemed to be going well until I was called to the counter and told I ordered a meal with ribs. The sign had stated clearly that they were out so I explained that I had purposely ordered the meal without ribs. An employee offered me an extra pound of meat to cover the cost of the ribs so I agreed. I checked initially before I walked out the door but being in a hurry with a baby at home I didn’t check thoroughly enough. There was no bread included at all, the brisket was supposed to have been sliced but was instead chopped into oblivion and tasted like it had been heavily smoked with lighter fluid instead of wood chips, the sausage was cold and looked and tasted more like chopped up hot dogs, and instead of the coleslaw I ordered, I received potato salad(also in a sample sized cup). I paid almost $ 50 for a meal that looked like the sad leftovers from last night’s dinner. The meat came in tiny boxes half taken up with foil. $ 50 = two tiny boxes of meat, two bite sized cups of sides, and no bread. I wouldn’t pay that much for the same portion sizes of well made BBQ… and this was nowhere near that… I wouldn’t even give the brisket to my dogs because of the lighter fluid taste. I have never been so frustrated with my choice of a meal. If you needed help with your decision today… this is not the place for you! No one seems happy to work here, they are not proud of their BBQ as any other place in town would be, and they will extort every drop of money they can from you. If you like small portions of terrible food that drain your bank account though…

My husband and I just finished the krazee Hawaiian plate and we both agreed that it was the best bbq we have ever had. Delicious, a little spicy(just enough, I’m not a fan of spicy foods but it was perfect to me), so moist and flavorful! I got a small which was the perfect size for me. The sides were a little on the small side, but the prices aren’t bad for bbq. We will definitely be coming back. It’s a Choctaw must visit!

I have been enjoying experiencing Oklahoma barbecue for quite a while now but wow Simmons really blew me away! The spices and flavors blend spectacularly. We got a full spectrum of meal options to try and not single thing was below expectations. What a wonderful local bbq spot. I definitely just found a new lunch spot. Thanks for the amazing grub!!!

I love this place. I’ve tried different things every time I’ve been there & I’ve never been disappointed. I actually would have given 5 stars if there had been fries as a side order(I don’t know why, but I love fries.) I think we’re very lucky to have the BBQ Shack in Choctaw & anyone in the area should come check it out.

I smelled the BBQ from a block away and decided to investigate. Came before the lunch rush and was able to get a seat. The space fits about 25 people, the BBQ was melt in your mouth delicious. I got the pulled pork which was smokey and sweet, no sauce required but it’s very tasty as well. I also had the brisket, green beans and Mac n’ cheese, all delicious and nothing was heavy or left me feeling like I had a rock in my stomach. Texas toast wasn’t overly greasy either. It was all very reasonable too, $ 20 for two people with drinks. Not to me to mention a very clean bathroom and friendly service, I’ll absolutely be coming back.
