This is a great place to unwind and have a few drinks with friends. The ambiance is great for hosting events, dates, parties, or catching the big game. The food is great and taste fresh, the drinks are great and the staff is always friendly.

We have been here 3 times. The first time we had a great experience, good food and excellent service. However, we have been back twice and both times got the same sorry, slow, unfriendly server. Of course, the food is great and the drinks better. Tonight, we left. 4 cent tip and promise that if the same person comes to wait on us again, we will request another. It looked a bit short staffed, maybe more servers need to be hired. Tonight we asked for the check, and waited and had to remind the server that we needed to pay. My husband asked if she forgot us and she said yes., she had to wait on people outside, well, we had been outside before coming inside for a table and didn’t get service outside at all!

I had the pork schnitzel on a pretzel bun and my husband had a burger and curly fries. The food was average, the place was beautiful and the service was excellent! The waitress was very friendly and we received our lunch on a Saturday afternoon very quickly. We may stay in town an extra day just to go back to watch an NFL game there. Pleasant place!

I’m not going to comment on the food, because if you have been to Old Germany… you already know how damn good the food is. This is strictly a bar review. Turek’s is connected to Old Germany. It’s more or less a sports bar and a popular hangout for those of German ancestry.(Of which I am.) The Missus and I came up here to watch a World Cup game and enjoy some delicious German beer. Overall, it was awesome experience. First, the World Cup game featured Germany, so everyone in the bar was nuts… and not in an obnoxious way. The crowd was older, but not as old as your grandparents, and they all had a passion for soccer. I wasn’t even rooting for Germany, but as the game progressed, I found myself rooting for Deutschland. Every time Germany scored a goal, shots were passed around the bar… shots of Jaeger. Beer is served in liter glasses, and the the smell of succulent meats floats throughout the bar. The crowd was fantastic and the atmosphere was ecstatic. In fact, it was the best bar crowd I’ve ever been around. I’m a fan of good beer and succulent meats, so it should come as no surprise that I’m a fan of Turek’s. Auf Wiedersehen!

Turek’s Tavern is a new sports bar in Choctaw. It’s attached to the Old Germany restaurant, so it’s a twist on sports bar with a German feel. They serve bar food, but with hints of German influence. I normally get the Reuben and German potato salad. They also have pizzas, brats, burgers, sandwiches, and other appetizers. They have a full bar including lots of German beer on tap. Many of the beers are stronger than most beers in the US, so be careful! Turek’s is a great place to grab a food, drink, and catch up on some soccer or Thunder games!
