So apparently Unilocal and/or Crab Creek like to take down honest negative reviews. Perhaps for a fee? That’s fine… I’ll just do it again as a matter of principal. This restaurant was horrible. I learned about this place through Groupon(probably should have taken that as our first sign). One of the first things we noticed was that it took forever to receive service; 20 minutes to get two waters. Also, we visited this establishment in April and they were still playing Christmas music. Talk about a lack of attention to detail. We ordered the fried seafood platter and the sausage pasta. Both were terrible, but the pasta. oh. my. goodness. I have never had anyone try to pass ketchup off as a pasta sauce. I couldn’t eat more than one bite. The best part of our time there was the extremely drunk woman in the corner(I will assume that the alcohol is why she was enjoying herself) offered to share her wine with us. Definitely needed to get through the remainder of our meal. Suffice to say we had to stop at McDonald’s on the way home… which tasted like it was made by the Gods after a Crab Creek meal. FYI. I am going to screenshot this so that I don’t have to type this all by hand again.

Just moved to the area and we were looking for something that wasn’t a chain restaurant and decided to give this place a chance. A chance is what you all need to do because it is a local small business that just wants to thrive in the community. Does the décor, logo, menu design and website need an overall, yes but the food is pretty good and focus on just that. The service was great and the food was better than that of a chain restaurant. The food is made to order so if you are expecting a quick turnaround, go to a chain. But if you have a little extra time and you are a smaller party, just go and enjoy it, we did and will come back and tell everyone about it. It is a great local place and if they need help with the design, please let me know.

My husband and I went to crab Creek for dinner Friday night. We ordered the crab legs and u peel em shrimp as an appetizer. I grew up at the beach and am a tough critic of seafood, especially in this area. I was amazed at how fresh and delicious the crab legs and shrimp were. We ordered salmon and tuna steak for entrees. Both were great! We can’t wait to return!

My husband brought this home one night and the food was a little less than average but not bad. We got something cheap(fried seafood combos and crab cakes) and we got take out so I assume the food would be better in person. My husband said the people were rude and was lucky he picked it up, because i would not have liked the cleanliness. We have coupons which they hate accepting, but willingly sign up to sell. We but won’t be going back after reading the weird rant on their homepage.

Heard about this place through Groupon, so I bought one. Arrived on a Saturday night to a pretty empty place. Only about two other tables were occupied. The place is not clean the way I like it, but I felt ok about eating the food. The décor is in desperate need of a makeover. The service was absolutely excellent for us, but again, the place was empty so that probably helped. You’re served a complimentary basket of fries and hush puppies. I did like the hush puppies, and the fries were ok for being the frozen kind. Our appetizers were pretty good — fish tacos and breaded oysters. Our entrees: Carribean Shrimp — just ok, the Scampi– DISGUSTING!, the Scallops Hampton — GROSS! Like a previous reviewer mentioned, everything is frozen, definitely not fresh. The only reason this place gets 3 stars is because my waitress was awesome.

Don’t bother making a reservation, they don’t matter. We were on time for our 7:30pm reservation, didn’t get seated until 8:40pm. Our food arrived another hour later. By the time we paid the check, it was 10:07pm. Over 2.5 hours start to finish. Wow.

Just-OK seafood at a reasonable price. Comparable to any average ‘crab shack’ along most coastal places. Get here early otherwise it’s a painfully long wait. Restaurant has about 12 tables inside and they are absolutely ill equipped to deal with more than 2 or 3 parties waiting for a seat.

Small little local place, we went there on Valentine’s day and I can say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Good seafood at a fantastic price. On Thursdays they have 2lbs of crab legs for $ 16, that is a bargain!

Everything about this restaurant was one star when we went. The service on that occasion was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced. It took us about 30 minutes of sipping our drinks before the waiter realized he hadn’t even put our order in. Twenty minutes later when our food did arrive it was nothing more than pre-packaged frozen seafood with a little batter slapped on and stuck in the fryer. I really don’t even consider it seafood when it has no flavor other than batter. If all you want is a greasy fried meal it should suffice, but look elsewhere if you want seafood.

Mediocre seafood at a reasonable price. The place has a low budget, almost temporary, look and feel to it. It’s a fairly quite joint, always with several available tables. I’m not sure what hours they keep, but it seems like most times I have the desire to go there they aren’t open. I’ve driven by several times and wondered if they were still in business.
