Blackwater Tattoo

I phoned in advance and spoke with Mike. He lead me to my artist Angel Martinez whose work I previously studied on Instagram. Mr. Martinez met with me to construct my tattoos that I have waited almost 2 years to do. I had a breast reduction that left me with horrible scars. I gave full creative control to Angel to help me with this issue. I agreed to an under boob tat design and a nipple tassle to cover the scarring.
I recently was diagnosed with Endometrial cancer and explained that the tattoo was very personal. I have to still schedule the tassle parts due to pain management issue. Let me say that the crew was outstanding having me there. I want to say Mike, Bear, Scooby, Danny, and Angel were so respectful and professional. Please take a look at this shop on FB and Instagram. This was and will continue to be an artists venue. Do yourself a favor and get that ink you’ve been wanting. Life is short, live your passion.

Angel was an awesome tattoo artist. He had the design better the I expected. He talked to me the entire time to allay my fears. 5 hours later instead of a faded old tattoo, I have a brilliant new one that Pops! Would definitely recommend to a friend.
Everyone at the shop was nice and friendly. I’ll be back!

Great music (Daughtry, old school Linkin Park, Shinedown…), a tight crew that laughs a lot and has real skill with their guns. My artist George does sessions like a true pro and it’s obvious that these guys care just as much about their customers as they do about each other.
Artists set their own prices, but it’s always reasonable ($ 2000-​ish for a half sleeve with lots of color and small details). They charge per piece instead of by the hour, so nobody is going to milk your wallet by going purposely slow.
All the artists have their required state health courses done and use new gloves, needles & ink with each session, on top of wrapping everything in plastic wrap like an episode of Dexter. Super clean and sterile but maintains a comfortable atmosphere. I had a long session tonight and wasn’t bored at all.

Southbay Mike did it came out amazing I guess he’s been tattooing for 28 yrs man his experience really shows I will never go anywhere else he was so professional unlike alot of the studios I checked out go see him you won’t regret it he is a true artust.
