After much research and having selected this specific person(Dr. Curtis) as my primary care physician over 2 months ago, I am now happy to say that I have switched to another and here’s why… I had decided to switch primary care physicians due to the fact that it was(and MOSTLIKELYSTILLIS) extremely difficult to actually speak to a staff member when TRYING to schedule an appointment. The ONLY one time I was able to speak to someone was my first time calling this office and the staff member alerted me that before I would able to make an appointment, I would have to come in to sign papers which I thought was an inconvenience for me. Also, I was told that Dr. Curtis would not be available until the following month as she was on vacation the time I first called making it rather difficult to be seen sooner. On my second and third attempt calling(giving the Dr. enough time after arriving back from vacation) and TRYING to schedule an appointment, I reached their automated answering machine. Everytime I press #7(to speak to a staff member) I’d cross my fingers hoping for someone to pick up, but instead it was usually an automated voice saying«Dr. Curtis will be away until…» for weeks at a time and it has surely been quite frustrating! So for the past 2 months that I had been trying to schedule an appointment, I’ve been getting the machine and no response back. On top of the doctor’s own schedule having always been out of office, I find that on most Fridays that I am able to leave work early to accomodate something like this, their office closes at 2PM and I’m unable to make it. I almost feel that the staff and doctor are non-existent at this point. It’s unfortunate that I was unable to get through to this office and even more upsetting that I thought I did enough research to believe Dr. Curtis and staff would be an ease to reach, to communicate with, to schedule an appoinment with, to receive care from… BUTNADA to any of the above I just mentioned. The past 2 months trying to speak to someone and schedule an appointment here with these folks has been a PAIN and addded to the existing physical pain I’m already going through. There’s no point in TRYING anymore. Time to move on…

Great doctor. She really listens to you and it’s nice to have a doctor that listens rather than write you off or tell you that you are on your own in so many words. It is hard to get an appointment but not THAT hard– you should call asap with her and take the first available! But to me that’s a sign that she’s in high demand. She’s the first doctor to actually want to get me treated and refer me to an endocrinologist. When I left her office I felt after years of having a medical condition no doctor really knew about– that she did. The last thing she said when I first saw her was«I’m going to take care of you» and that made such a weight lift off my shoulders. Don’t think she’s a miracle worker though– if YOU aren’t willing to do your part to take care of yourself her advice and help can only go so far. Staff is friendly and professional :)

If I could give Dr. Curtis’s office 6 stars, I would. They are *that* great. The staff here is very friendly, yet maintains a high standard of professionalism. They return calls when promised. They go the extra mile to find information for you. Dr. Curtis herself is the best doctor I’ve ever had. She listens to your concerns carefully. She provides referrals when necessary but she also seems very sensible in the recommendations for treatment she has given me.
