The fish soup is good and the margarita is bomb. The fried pulpo was over done though sadly and a little overpriced but overall good experience

Great location for Mariscos. It is located in a strip mall and I almost missed it. The restaurant is a good size and when we walked in I was rather surprised that it was completely full since the parking lot didn’t look busy at all. The food was great! I had the small cocktail and the Hector tacos. Horchata was the best I’ve had in a really long time.

The food is good but the services need to be more professional, I ordered one cocktail of shrimp and when I started to prepared my cocktail the cup broke and everything landed on me. The waitress mention to me that it was their fault for heating it up but never did they apologize. I got another one, but I still had to pay for it. On another note, the shift manager was in the background scolding at her employees. Not professional at all.

The food, drinks and atmospheres great! We have been here many many times over the years. I’m just sick of the waitress that seems to always purposely hold our check after we have finished our food & drinks even after requesting it from a different employee so we can pay our bill. I think it’s a form of silent discrimination. I’ve been wanting to return because I love the tamarind drink & food but we started going elsewhere to avoid being irritated & the hassle.

The service is good, the ambience is pretty suave. Me personally I used to like soda alot so I would prefer restaurants with soda fountains but since I’ve begun limiting my consumption of soda, this place is a major plus! The food is great! I recommend trying the«ceviche de tamarindo» it is really good, a bit spicy but once you start eating it you cant stop until you’re out. Plus Taco Tuesdays for fish tocas which are really good. The minus would be lack of soda fountains, for those of you who like alot of soda.

Worst sea food experience ever, order some callo de hacha and it was frozen, tasteless, never coming back, also very expensive.

We keep coming back for the large shrimp ceviche appetite and fish soup. The service is always good and their $ 1 fish tacos on Tuesdays are delicious. Love!!!

Tried this place with my family on a Saturday morning the service was good but our food did take a long time(so long that by that the time our food came we were full of chips and salsa) Our serve was polite though. I orders a campechana it was basic not too bad but nothing special about it. I have also tried the 7 seas soup and it’s pretty good make sure to try it.

I really like this place! Came with my girlfriend to eat some Mariscos awhile ago and I’m glad I came. The food was great. Fresh chips and salsa. We had the shrimp ceviche plate and split it between us… plenty of food. Ordered some Margaritas on the rocks and simply enjoyed. After my drink, I decided to get a beer and enjoyed it in a frosty mug. Chips were always full. Fresh beer and mug after I finished. Watched the football playoffs on the screen. Very attentive waitress. I liked the service. Manager came by to make everything was good… couldn’t ask for anything more. I found me a fresh spot. Enjoy!

Bob Marley played easily upon walking through the door. Asked to self seat, I took the booth in the corner. Shortly after I was greeted with chips and salsa. Chips were fresh, if not slightly greasy, acceptable but worth mentioning. The salsa reminded me of El Pollo house salsa on overdrive. Same consistency and similar taste but with more flavor and heat. I quickly placed my order for an Indio beer, Siete Mares, a fish taco, and a side of avocado. The beer came ice cold with a frozen companion mug to pour at your leisure. Nice, that probably means their cocteles are served in glass as well. My first experience with this Mexican beer was nice and refreshing with a smooth finish. More please. Shortly after several reggae influenced songs in Spanish played my fish taco arrived and the music doubled in volume and started playing banda. The taco was pretty standard affair. A battered fish filet of some sort of tender tasty white fish, cream sauce, cabbage and a slice of avocado. It was good and I enjoyed it, but if you know where to get $ 0.99 fish tacos you might want to stick to that if you’re on a budget. The siete mares was good and accompanied with 3 hot and tasty corn tortillas. I found a large Blue Crab claw, one Green Mussel, one Manila Clam, and a plethora of tasty White Fish, Bay Scallops, Squid, and Octopus, all cooked perfectly, resting in a hearty and rich hot broth. Service was decent for a Wednesday, but they were not busy. Overall a good first experience, judging by that, I look forward to exploring their menu more.

More like 3.5 stars based on: Pros: –Indio beer –Good sized plates –Ok flavors –Great chips and salsa Cons: –Over priced –Not a sense of authenticity. I enjoyed coming to Hector’s fine. I had their Molcajete Diablillo and it have good seafood: shrimp, scallops, octopus… It was good, but I felt like it was missing a wow factor. It was huge! I should’ve gotten the tostada with the same ingredients and probably would have been satisfied. I also tried their Popeye Clams, they were good, but again, nothing out of this world. I feel that maybe a seafood truck would offer the same variety and flavors for half the price and twice the ambiance.

Hate to do it to this place but the other day we came here and my mom Ordered a campechana toasted it came really raw the lemon hadn’t cooked the seafood at all we waited and ate the other thing we ordered and it was still Completely raw. Mushy and just no flavor. We hate sending stuff back but we ended up telling the waiter if he can change it for one that the seafood is cooked. He was very polite and said yes and we asked for the to put it to go.(After all we did pay for it) when we opened it later on at home the«cook» had just put the same raw tostada in a foam cup and added some chopped cooked shrimp mixed in and pieces of the soggy soggy tostada were all Mixed in. It was gross and uneatable. Love there eastlake location but not this one. Would never go back and do not recommend.

The food is so good service was kinda eh but the food came out quickly despite how busy it was. We had lobster tacos, shrimp chimichanga, Tamarindo aguachile, ceviche de camaron, sopa de camaron, Tamarindo margarita, and micheladas con clamato. It was all good and flavorful. My only thing was the chimichanga was huge and the chipotle was a little on the spicy side but still very good.

As of Jan 2015, the margarita special no longer exists. There is also no more chamoy added to their frozen margs, but the tajin remains and a cherry has been added.

¡Que rica comida! Me da gusto haber encontrado este lugar en nuestro viaje a San Diego. Los camarones a la diabla son tremendas. This place has some delicious seafood! Next time I’m way down south(california), I’m going to drop in and have some ceviche tostadas and Camarones a La Diabla.
