I was going here for awhile and getting my haircut from Blanca and loved it but not anymore because Blanca left. So if anyone knows where she went. If you could let me know where she works now.

Been going here for hair cuts since I was a teenager. Now I’m a young adult and I really appreciate the quality and good service provided. Great hair cuts and fair prices, what more can you want.

I would always go to this barber shop. Blanca would trim my hair, but sadly she isn’t there no more. I wish someone knew where she went because she’s the best hair stylist!

Great spot! Good prices and great atmosphere and great parking. I’ve been to a lot of barbers around town lately and they have really been slacking on customer service, quality of cuts and overall feel but this place has it all. I have noticed that they have lost a lot of barbers but I’m sure that location is the main culprit of that. They are definitely worth the drive and well worth the business.

I give JJ’s 5 stars! Hands down one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. Ok, I’ll admit it, it’s the BEST haircut I’ve ever had. The shop is old school. East Coast style shop. JJ’s is an iconic part of Chula Vista. The staff is super friendly and if you are new to the area they can tell you all about San Diego and all of the great spots from food to the beach. The prices are great, especially since I come from the beach areas and couldn’t believe I could pay less than $ 40.00 for a cut. Overall a great value, no appointment, the BEST haircut in San Diego. Period.

Followed my fellow Unilocaler’s reviews and hit up jj’s on broadway. Everybody there gives awesome cuts and fades. The girl that cut my skin fade worked for like 25 minutes on it. I’ve definitely found my new barbershop for real!

Every two weeks or so I go out and get a haircut. Usually, during that time for a haircut, I decide that I want to try a different barber shop. Just out of curiosity. I knew I wanted to this place because it’s on Broadway and its on the way to another barber shop I usually go to so I figured if it was open I would try it. When I walked in, there was only the owner JJ and Blanca which whom cut my hair and did a good job. Luckily, I was the only one there at the time so Blanca informed that she would take her time. It’s obvious that when a barber shop has a full house they normally cut your hair as soon as possible in order to cut everybody’s hair in a timely manner. I appreciated that she took her time with my haircut. She cut my hair exactly as I requested and she even used a razor and lather to cut my sideburns and the back of my neck. I believe my haircut came out to $ 9 dollars. After I tipped here, she gave me her business card so I can know when she is available. JJ was cool for letting take a few photos so I can upload them On Unilocal. Overall, its a local spot, cheap, spacious and friendly service.

I tired this place for the first time today, and I liked the service. Too many places try to crank you through as fast as possible, and often at a high cosmetic cost. Life is too short to suffer from a badly(or worse, INDIFFERENTLY) executed haircut… Not only did they do a great job, they also trimmed the back of my neck with lather and a razor — a service you won’t get at one of the ‘get ‘em through ASAP’ joints Edited August 31, 2012 I’m still coming here, and the service is still top-notch — thanks, folks!
