When Jochi’s was still in Seafood City I couldn’t help but to get the munchies while shopping. I recently stopped by to check the place out and I walked out a happy camper :) I got my usual sisig with rice and a water and everything seriously looked so good and fresh. The only downer was that if you are going to pay with a debit card you need to spend $ 10.00 and if someone is using the phone expect to wait a little longer too.

I love the selection of food they’ve got. When I’m too lazy to cook and I’m craving some Filipino cuisine, this is my go-to spot. They’ve got dishes from Kare-Kare to Dinuguan, and Sinigang to, my favorite, Sisig. Jochi’s is located inside Seafood City, so you can make a one stop trip to pick up some groceries too. The thing I love about this place is that they give you massive portions and, more importantly, the food is home-style. The ingredients are fresh and bought in store. I’d have to say, this is one of the better Filipino food joints in San Diego. Give Jochi’s a try, and don’t forget the complimentary Sinigang sabao!
