I absolutely loved the brilliance of Dr. Matkovich. I’m so sorry for the loss of Dr. Matkovich. I especially love the way he had a ‘victory garden ‘, complete with corn, all organic. It was beautiful. As your teeth are being worked on, you could watch TV on the ceiling or the gardens & hummingbirds all around the building. It still looks the same :) Our whole family went to Dr. Matkovich years ago, for many years. A few years ago, Dr. Matkovich fixed a tiny porcelain tooth piece for me, and it has lasted for many years. The tiny piece that chipped off was put in a blast chamber and carefully glued back on. It looked flawless. Hi tech stuff. The new doctor, I do like her a lot, and I need my yearly check up. One of these days I’ll get the tooth remade, but I guess I haven’t because it doesn’t show. The Dental Hygienists are all friendly and smiling. RIPDOCTORMATKOVICH OURWHOLEFAMILYLOVEDYOU

Originally, I thought that this place was great, very nice and fancy office and building. I had a lot of dental work done here $$$$$, they told me that I needed a lot more work done and they would call me regularly to remind me, but money was tight so I hesitated. They painted doom and gloom over the phone and in emails. I referred my girlfriend to this place also. She was horrified when they told her that she also needed a lot of work done on her teeth. According to this dentist she had 10 bad cavities that needed filling right away. She went back to her original dentist and they said she only had one borderline cavity, that they would take care of, everything else was fine. She convinced me to go to her dentist and once in their chair, they assured me that my teeth were just fine. What the Heck??? I litterally spent thousands out of my own pocket(no insurance). I’m just furious about it… It seems clear to me now in hindsight, why this office is so nice and fancy. This place regularly performs work that is not needed, in my Opinion they rip off people routinely, and you have no way of knowing it. I had another friend and he had the same experience here. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if they say you need a lot of dental work done, PLEASE get a second opinion before getting ripped off here. Now that Matkovich is dead it might be better but YOUHAVEBEENWARNED…

We are deeply saddened by Dr. Matkovich’s untimely demise. He was not just a trusted medical practitioner, he was a beloved family friend, quick with wit, and of generous sentiment. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his loved ones. RIP, Doc The Muller family Chula Vista, CA

I am not a fan of going to the dentist, but this place is fantastic! It’s very warm and welcoming. The décor is nice, adorable really with all the Easter decorations, and the TVs at your feet and over your head to distract/entertain you while having your teeth worked on/cleaned are an interesting touch. The gentleman working the front desk(scheduling appointments, taking my payment/insurance, answering the phone, etc) is exceptionally professional, friendly, and just plain good at his job. The dentist and dental hygenists(sp?) were great too. No one lectured me about waiting too long to have my cleaning done and the dentist really spent time explaining what was going on with my teeth and gums. There were some difficulties taking my xrays, but that is not unusual for me… I hate biting down on those things! After my cleaning, they sent me off with some lovely pictures of my teeth and a cute little packet of give aways(toothbrush, floss, toothpaste, etc). A couple of my friends recommended this place to me and I’m so glad they did!!!
