Worst, most selfish Panda Express in SD. We went here today and ordered several 3 item combos. The Latina worker was acting like there was a worldwide shortage of orange chicken! She skimped out on all the meat. It was as if she was counting the damn pieces and their manager made them give us as little as possible. Cmon people! Orange chicken is cheap… a little piece of chicken with most of it being breaded coating. Are you serious? My father in-law asked the worker if she could add more meat and she straight up said no… that’s all we give! Horrendous service! They’d rather LOSE customers than make their customers happy with repeat business. That’s bad management. I suggest you go to Beijing China restaurant in the Vons Eastlake area. They do NOT skimp on portions. They give you more than your money’s worth and some. I will NEVER go back to this particular store again. And I used to order at least 1 family meal from this Panda Express a week. That’s over $ 100 of lost business for them a month cause they could not add a few more pieces of inexpensive orange chicken. I hope everyone experiences their greed and stops going there. Just straight up FOUL service and bad attitudes by employees.

The reason why I’m giving this place 5 stars is because I’ve never ever had a bad food experience with Panda Express! What I also love is that every time I ask for their black pepper chicken(which happens to be one of my favorite entrees there) and it’s running low they always quickly(less than 5 mins) whip up a fresh batch for me! I love that this particular location is so close to home and I get attended to immediately with little or no wait. Love that especially when I’m famished! Perfect stop before heading home after a long day at work. Their sesame chicken and fire chicken are two other favorites of mine and my husband’s. Very friendly and efficient staff as well! I always see them cleaning every time I visit and every one of them has a smile on their face which really makes a difference!

The food just isn’t good. I don’t think I could have Panda Express again. Now, I’ve had Panda every so often and it was decent Chinese-American fast food. There was something about my food yesterday that was really off putting. It isn’t any of the staff’s fault they’re just doing their jobs. The quality of the food was gross, as if it wasn’t real food? I ordered a 2 item combo; half fried rice half noodles, beef broccoli and orange chicken. 2 of the items(noodles and orange chicken) were freshly cooked as I waited in line and they still didn’t taste fresh. The meat from the beef broccoli was stringy and the broccoli was over cooked. The orange chicken was basically all breading in a really sweet sauce. The fried rice and noodles had no flavor. I’m not a picky eater, it’s rare that I am so dissatisfied with my meal but it was that bad. Never again.

My kids love Panda! They snarf down the orange chicken and shrimp. They also are wonderful About having fundraisers for our school!!!

Well, disappointed in the food. Rice undercooked, so crunchy, yuck. Meat tasty but chewy. Chicken tender but tasteless. Floor was sticky, should have taken that as a warning I guess. Service was acceptable but not particularly friendly and they were not busy. Table was decently clean, only real plus, a/c on a hot day and the bathrooms were clean. Won’t be back, my recommendation, go to the one on Otay Lakes road…

The only thing I’m giving them a 5 star is bc of Maria Plante(Manager) she gave me a superb discount for kids meal!!! Everything went well. I ordered for 16 kids meal’ she gave me a good price. Smooth transaction. She’s such a gem! Thank you! I’m a happy mom. This is the Panda Express on Otay Ranch Mall– Eastlake

Can I give negative stars? I always hope for a better experience but they never deliver. It’s the only Panda near our house and I keep thinking they’ll improve, to no avail. Always out of food, even chow mein. 3 of us waiting for them to cook 80% of what we ordered. Watched them keep pulling food out of pending orders to fill those behind us. Crazy poor planning. Got home after waiting for what should have been fresh food to find under cooked chow mein and tough old Sweet fire chicken, they must have scraped the bottom of the cold pan. Kung pao chicken had bones. Called & manager, Maria argued that she personally gave me fresh food and she had cameras to prove it. Won’t be going back.

Let’s see… Chinese themed fast food worked by Mexicans. Should be renamed chihuahua express instead. After placing my order and waiting for the fresh pot of rice to come, the lady dumps the old oily rice left from 6 hours earlier right on top of the freshly made rice. After almost vomiting in my mouth a little, I asked the lady why she did that. She laughed and replied to me that her manager wastes no food(in Spanish). I gave it 2 stars because it still edible. Once management pull it together and perhaps stop being disfunctional this place might have a chance at better reviews.

5 pieces of meat, seriously? Why charge extra when you’re just gonna give less food?! Don’t come here if you can help it.

This panda could be good, but mismanagement keeps it mediocre. I don’t understand how they could be open on Christmas. The food quality cannot compare to main street. The location is usually clean since it is usually empty. The fried rice is usually burnt with large white clumps of rice. Even the PE down the street near target is a better choice.

Ok, so my fiancé and I usually go to this PE because the other one is so crowded. It has gone down hill since we first started going. The food is usually not to bad but the service is horrible. There is one particular server named Zenda, she is by far the rudest server I have ever encountered. I understand that fast food attendants are not the brightest or nicest but she is horrible. I strongly recommend the other PE off of Otay Lakes road. Good luck…

I love panda! Just not every day loll the food has there moments. But I love it anyways. Sometimes the orange chicken is really hard then other days it’s not. I like it here because it’s never packed and u don’t have to wait forever to get your food.

Every time I come here, I have to wait for teriyaki chicken, orange chicken etc… The stuff you want is never ready and the food that is, looks like it’s been sitting there for hours. The employees had no problem serving me old, wilted vegetables. I mean really, would you eat that!!! …another thing: the dining area was absolutely heinous. Save your self the heartache and go to the Panda on Otay Lakes Road!

It looks like they’ve changed managers and they’re skimping on serving size again. I’m just about done with this location. And it’s too bad, I really enjoy a a quick bowl of noodles and grilled chicken. Panda Express, please remember I have other choices in the mall.

We haven’t had PE in over 4 years so we were extremely excited to find one right down the street from our new place. After walking around we decided to pop in. Upon entering we were greeted by dirty empty tables. But we blew it off since we were jonesing for some Orange chicken. After waiting in line for about 15 min we placed our order. — Orange Chicken w/Fried Rice & Chow Mein — Orange Chicken & Sweetfire Chicken breast w/Fried Rice — Orange Chicken w/Fried Rice bowl — Beef n’ Broccoli & Chicken Terriyaki w/Fried Rice After getting our food I went to grab a Pepsi, all I got was seltzer. And the same with the Diet Pepsi so opted for Sobe instead. When we went to dig in we all just stared at each other and just politely disposed of the Orange Chicken. I can not believe no one else in the resturant didn’t say a single thing about it. We spoke with the staff, they tasted it in front of us and agreed that it was nasty. They offered to remake the Orange Chicken and offered to give us 3 other entrees. They were very gracious and nice. After waiting it out with 3 hungry kids under 6; the OC came. Hmmm yeah still just like the last batch, just hotter. By this point we were all tired and just wanted to get home. I’ll stop by another time to give it a second chance but if the OC looks like it did this night, there is no way I’ll ever go back here again. They really need to get a new cook.

This probably the worst managed Panda Express that I’ve been to. Usually they’re pretty good, but there always seems to be something wrong at this one. One time the fried rice was sitting out in the warmer too long and it was dry and almost crunchy. Another time, all the fried items(egg rolls and cream cheese wontons) were really dark in color indicating either over frying or old oil. Every time I go there, the tables are dirty. There is no real excuse for these mistakes, because it was never busy at any of my visits. Well, that should be a clue for me to never dine here again. Do yourself a favor there’s a Panda Express down the street on Otay Lakes Rd. and Eastlake Pkwy. Go to that one.

Smaller portions than other PE’s. I agree with one of the reviews though, with their trays being empty during prime hours. I’ve pretty much had to wait for new orange chicken or chow mein each time I’ve been there. While the food is lacking sometimes the customer service is usually great, even after watching them put up with extremely rude customers so kudos for that.
