I haven’t written a review in a long time but I’ve had a few shoddy hair experiences lately and I’m ecstatic to have nice hair again so I decided to write this…
I hadn’t seen Juan in forever, like probably 16 years! He cut my hair the shortest its ever been, super cute cut, when I was 15 or 16.
After looking all over the internet for a good salon that wasn’t insanely priced I asked my sister-​in-​law if I could tag along to her uncle’s salon. I’m SO glad I did. The color and cut are awesome! I hated the previous «layers» I had from another salon and he did a great job fixing it without cutting too much off. I love the chocolate brown color too. Nothing but compliments on my new do. Thank you Juan. You’re the best!

Juan is a AMAZING hairdresser and a super cool guy! I agree with everything Tristan said… I have curly hair and it is difficult to cut well and Juan does a beautiful job! I always feel transformed— I walk out of his salon feeling like a model. The service at Salon Le’ Soleil is «priceless»

I first found Juan seven years and two locations ago. One of my classmates at UCSD had the most fabulous layers. I was convinced she paid Hollywood prices for her haircuts ($ 75+++). After admiring her hair over several quarters and through several classes (we shared a major), I finally asked her who did it. She immediately fetched Juan’s number out of her cell phone; I have never looked back.
Now he cuts every head of hair in my family: be they men, women; straight haired, curly haired, or grey haired. He does a great job on all of them.
Don’t quote me, but he charges $ 30ish for women and $ 15ish for men (before tip). And tip you will my gentle Unilocalers, because he is an artist and he is a bargain.

And yes, it is worth every second of my 45 minute drive, to have him cut my hair. Have him cut yours; you can thank me later.
